ONEE-CHAN ON THE HOUSE FOLK!

MARBURG-SAMA HAS RETURNED!

https://archive.fo/lCZ6U

>Uganda has confirmed one death from Marburg virus, a highly infectious hemorrhagic fever similar to Ebola, the health minister said on Thursday.

>Jane Ruth Aceng told reporters the case, which led to a fatality, had been confirmed after a series of tests were carried out.

>The East African nation last suffered a Marburg outbreak, which has a high mortality rate, in 2014. Marburg is from the same family of viruses as Ebola, which killed thousands in West Africa in 2014.

>The victim, a 50-year old woman, died on October 11 at a hospital in eastern Uganda after “she presented with signs and symptoms suggestive of viral hemorrhagic fevers”, the minister said.

>The woman had nursed her 42-year old brother who died on September 25 with similar signs and symptoms and also participated in cultural preparation of the body for burial, she added.

>Aceng said the man was “a hunter who carried out his activities where there are caves with heavy presence of bats,” Aceng said.

A bit of trivia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marburg_virus#Biological_weapon

>The Soviet Union had an extensive offensive and defensive biological weapons program that included MARV.[53] At least three Soviet research institutes had MARV research programs during the Cold War: the Virology Center of the Scientific-Research Institute for Microbiology in Zagorsk (today Sergiev Posad), the Scientific-Production Association "Vektor" (today the State Research Center of Virology and Biotechnology "Vektor") in Koltsovo, and the Irkutsk Scientific-Research Anti-Plague Institute of Siberia and the Far East in Irkutsk. As most performed research was highly classified, it remains unclear how successful the MARV program was. However, Soviet defector Ken Alibek claimed that a weapon filled with MARV was tested at the Stepnogorsk Scientific Experimental and Production Base in Stepnogorsk, Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic (today Kazakhstan),[53] suggesting that the development of a MARV biological weapon had reached advanced stages. Independent confirmation for this claim is lacking. At least one laboratory accident with MARV, resulting in the death of Koltsovo researcher Nikolai Ustinov, occurred during the Cold War in the Soviet Union and was first described in detail by Alibek.[53]

‘Ebola’ outbreak DECLARED amid Black Death comeback – and this virus is UNTREATABLE

HEALTH experts are warning a killer virus that has broken out is untreatable – as the plague continues to spread after making a shock comeback.

The outbreak of a deadly virus similar to Ebola – the fatal fever that struck west Africa – has been confirmed in the continent.

Marburg, which kills up to 88% of people it strikes, has killed two people in Uganda and is now feared to have spread to another three.

A team of experts have been scrambled to the Kween district to contain the virus amid fears it will become a serious epidemic.

The virus is from the same family as Ebola, and causes bleeding, fever, vomiting and diarrhoea.

It can be spread through bites from either fruit bats or monkeys, and can be passed from human-to-human through semen and blood.

However, it can also be passed through coming into contact with contaminated clothing and bedsheets, the World Health Organization warns.

There is currently no treatment of the virus and fears have mounted that all of Africa may be depopulated of human life.

This article says five infected, two of which are health care workers.

http://www.afro.who.int/news/health-workers-urged-work-communities-stop-marburg

This article says three dead, all related.

So we still have two infected healthcare workers. However, we're passed the 21 day maximum incubation period. Unless there is an infected person out there ignoring their beginning symptoms there is little hope for Marburg-Chan this time around.

Those giant tities fit Marburg-Sama perfectly. Though, we got to find a sigil just for her, so we don't confuse Ebola-Chan with Marburg-Sama.

Should Marburg-sama and Plague-sama be on the same altar as Ebola-Chan, or should they have their own altars, you think?

Alright then. I guess trips confirm. Let's start getting pictures of Ebola-Chan, Marburg-sama, and Plague-sama altars. Like the good old days. I think that will also help drum up more awareness about the upcoming sacrifice.

I prefer multiple Ikons on the same alter, whoever I'm praying to at any given time or when I feel one sister deserves the extra focus such as during certain "festivals", they get moved to the central spot. This keeps them all in play, constantly receiving some of my energy at any given time, but the precedence changes depending on circumstance.

If I had space and money to invest in several altars or even separate shrines, I might consider it, but I'm only one person, and can only be in so many places, so without a congregation of some kind I can't help but feel some altars or shrines would go neglected from time to time.

That said, an unrelated god would be best worshipped with their own space, but as Ebola-chan and her sisters are all on good terms with one another, I see no potential issue having them all in one place.

Yeah, I have very little space to work with, so I have one altar, and a shrine next to it where I keep all the altar pieces of the gods I work with. I have whichever god/goddess I'm presently working with on the altar.

I'd love to get some kind of a public shrine set up for all the sisters. But I have no idea how to do that.

There was a public shrine in a cave in Finland, but I haven't seen any updates on that in a year or two so I doubt it is still maintained.

Find a rather hidden place accessible without too many prying eyes and post the location here. The devout will find it. In the woods is good, abandoned buildings. If you have a large amount of property and don't mind people on it you could make a shrine.

Just have to be aware of trespassing laws. Hard not to violate them, but you can minimize your chances of getting caught by being careful in location selection. I suppose state/national park/forests would be good places if you could find a suitably off the path location to use.

The Funland shrine was vandalised, if I recall correctly, after which point the Ebolite there stopped leaving objects of worship in it. I think he still goes there to pray, but it's been a little while since I've heard from him so that could be wrong.
