>Tekmira said it will suspend work on its drug TKM-Ebola and is re-evaluating its development contract with the U.S. Department of Defense. The company said in June that a related drug, TKM-Ebola-Guinea, would probably fail in a mid-stage clinical trial. The drug is designed to block genes that help the virus reproduce and spread.
Emphasis mine. This marks a great victory for Ebola-chan. Tekmira Pharmaceuticals is going so far to wash its hands of its failures as sell itself off to another company. Now they're taking a swing at poor Hepatitis-chan.

Tekmira has done its duty in bringing Ebola-chan into the world. If it weren't for their misguided efforts to eliminate EBOV, they would have never fucked up and created an immunonovel mutant strain that found her way into their experimental vaccine.
