In the beginning, we had a peaceful church with few rules, dedicated to Ebola-chan.Now people are trying to impose their own rules, build their own scripture, and make their own rituals. I for one, was happy with the old church, one that gave you freedom as long as your actions were intended to support Ebola-chan. One that allowed fluid theological/philosophical discussions in a calm atmosphere, with no right or wrong answers. One where the only real absolute was that Ebola-chan loves us, and we should give blood to her. And I would like to return to that church. Of course, I would be a hypocrite if I tried to force or command people to move to a more open and fluid church with me, but I'd like to ask, politely, if anyone is with me. I'm not trying to start an argument, just wondering if I have any allies left.

Going by Alfred Marshal and Neoclassical economists theory of marginal declining utility (utility as a satisfaction), if a thing is too overrepeated it can bring negative utility (dissatisfaction)

maybe due to board design having constantly ebola chan on background takes away the need of posting her additionally, or make it a bit more morbid and cultsy like.

>We should be free to love Ebola-chan as we wish!
>Stop these people from loving Ebola-chan differently from me!

Ebola-chan doesn't discriminate, friend, and neither should you. Good luck, Ebola-chan!

As a former representative of our Religion in religious forum, I feel obliged to express my grief over the current situation.

Spreading the LOVE is all that trully matters (occasional bloodlettings and sacrifaps are also more than welcome, especially in special occasions like bloodmoons and media coverage).

I would argue that there hasn't really been many strong efforts to define the faith as a whole, just individually. And to me, this is fine; they rarely deviated from the core standard that you outline in your post - "Ebola-chan loves us, and we should give blood to her."

I would further argue that these efforts did little to diminish the faith. It has always been one without a singular interpretation, regardless of if it was recognized at the time. These efforts were simply to find those of like perspectives, or to help further develop one's own faith into something more personal or fitting to their experience and tastes. But, just as you do not wish to push your approach onto them, I do not believe that they ever wished to impose themselves upon the whole of the board.

If anything, I find them to be a correlation to the board's decline, not the causation of it. If there had been outright splits, maybe. Instead, people wandered off. The news tapered away, the discussions didn't suit their tastes, perhaps they just got bored.

If we wish to recruit, we must simply become visible again. Take to /boards/, attend interboard functions, rebuild our name as The Internet's Kindest Death Cult. Let all of h8chan know of Ebola-chan's love, that it is there if they wish to accept it.

I was under the impression, from looking at the current state of out board, that there was a kind of "push" to involve more solid rules. At the very least, I want people to know that there are others who will accept them if they keep things kind of "lawless," for lack of a better term. I'm sorry if I came off sounding aggressive, I'm just a bit frustrated because I'm not sure if I'm alone here.

>to help further develop one's own faith
I would like to see things as such, but I fail to. It seems to me that (and maybe I am mistaken) people are trying to define things in the church and IMPOSE those definitions on others. For example, take the post that says"BLOODMOON BLOODMAGIC RITUAL" (it's on the front page). It gives a set of rules as if they were law. Before, blood sacrifice threads were just about suggestions or finding your own way to do things. There was never a true "right way." Ebolites asking for help would often be greeted by "as long as you give blood," or sometimes even "as long as you make a sacrifice with Ebola-chan in mind, you're good." Of course, that may not have been the intention of the post (to impose a strict ruleset), but that's how it comes off to me. I hope I'm just misunderstanding.

/mu/ accepts us. I got EboLove into the latest Autistic Rage Festival album (https://arfm.bandcamp.com/album/hey-you-look-like-a-real-jerk-and-other-observations) so if anyone else wants to make Ebby-inspired musical contributions, we're cleared. I've also contributed "Moon Over My Ebby" for the next one.

Nothing is being forced on anyone. Fringe-anon who posted that was just giving a suggestion. He wasn't stating anything as law. Some people like a little structure when worshipping. But, it's not forced. Why are you so upset?

Because, as much as you'd like to say "this and that are just suggestions" nobody presents things as suggestions on here anymore. If you're saying that things are still like that, that everything here is only to be a suggestion and the individual is to make decisions on his own about how he wishes to understand and appreciate Ebola-chan's love for him, that could be made much more clear. If you don't clarify things like that, eventually they will stop existing. Of course, if the church moves toward a more rigid set of rules, and everyone accepts that, I won't argue with that. Part of why I posted this was to see if things were heading that way, or if there are still people here who want things to stay without set rules and restrictions. I'm sorry if I came off as angry, I was just a bit worried at the time.

I always spoke of how the hype wasn't worth investing in, that the media couldn't be relied upon. I submitted something to that effect to ebolite.org (or was it the other site) back when it was up.

But yeah, some people were just along for the ride. I'm sure Ebola-chan will accept them with open arms, if they choose to return, though
