Of course the government will interfere, putting limits on rent, or causing crashes in the housing market which allows large land owning companies to buy up massive swaths of suburbs. That's the kind of crony landlording we fight against though, whereas Statists feed directly into it.

You could attempt to calculate how many carburetors for tractors need to be manufactured in the month of June, or you could just let prices and demand trends do it. The former, if you could do it perfectly, might be more efficient, but it can't be done perfectly. If it could, you would be better off calculating the price of Apple stocks in 20 years and making money that way. It's a collective intelligence, the free market apparently behaving as a single, intelligent organism when in reality is is a mass of interrelated individual decisions.
