This board looks like it is abandoned, in fact the whole site seems like it is breaking, i will not be surprised if the owners have abandoned this place it seems that this will be another dead area of the internet, anyway if this is the case then it has been an honour, but i have also come with a question, can it be argued that East Asia is the most cyberpunk place at the moment? Of course it has influenced cyberpunk a lot that is certain, i do not expect many replies if any at all as activity has diminished, but hopefully someone will respond, if not then Godspeed, hopefully we will all meet again somewhere else one day, wherever you all are.

I am glad to see another anon, these places really are /cyber/, i truly believe that what is happening in the east is foreshadowing for what awaits the rest of the world.

Asia in general always had a huge effect on cyberpunk for a variety of reasons. They love their neon and developing new technologies over there, a lot of tech is made there anyways or is at the least headquartered there, and as a result a lot of high tech is seen as more disposable there. It's not at all uncommon to see a slew of gadgets get widespread adoption in china, japan, taiwan, singapore, or malaysia, have a lifespan of less than a year, and never make it out of there because something more easily mass producible replaces it and sees international success instead.
Regarding the site, however, Yeah, it does feel like things are pretty much dead here. On 8kun in general I think the only place that's actually active is the QAnon board, and they're kind of idiots for the most part.

the Kowloon walled city, either directly or indirectly inspired some cyberpunk fiction , it had it all, the poverty illegal manufacture, the brothels, and organized crime. so Asia was an inspiration.
ps after looking at the dismal sight of the this formerly great site, what other online communities are good, I know about LameChan but what else is out there.)

I admit that really makes me sad and angry. The q shit is all that remains…supposedly the thing that 8chan was targeted for.
Where has all of the good stuff gone? /nightwalk/ was one of my favs!

Hi friend!
Sadly there is no direct thing like this. I like LameChan and /g/ but outside that I am afraid there are not many things similar to this unique site.
I have wondered about starting my own Chan but can be a pain in the ass to be honest. For now I plan to work on my slice of the internet (my own site) but it is not ready yet. Hopefully more alternatives pop up but it is grim. As other have mentioned Hackspaces are good in meatspace.
