Nootropics.
Dump info and discuss. Do you take them? Have anything interesting to share? Sketchy OTC drugs that you order online to make yourself smarter seem pretty goddamn cyberpunk to me, so let's have a thread.

I just take omega-3's, ginkgo, and L-theanine for now. I have tried Alpha Brain products but didn't get much benefit from them.

Not OTC, or even prescribed yet.
Rapastinel.
It's still in pharmaceutical testing for treatment of depression. But studies show that NMDA agonists have the ability to increase cognitive function.

I've thought about trying some of the silly shit that infowars sells…super male vitality and other ridiculous nonsense, but I don't have the disposable income for it at this time. I'd rather spend my brouzouf on bills, food, rent, and pot.

I don't feel any difference at all but if you are new to starting these you gradually find short term memory improvements and better ability to focus. I've just added L-theanine for its relaxation properties and good so far.

Well that stuff is overpriced and probably not worth it for you depending on your age or unless you just want to support Alex's ex wife. If you are under 30 you shouldnt need to take any test products. If you are over 30 you could benefit from tongkat ali, ashwagandha, and maca. And you should eliminate the weed to get your libido and mental clarity back.

i bought some Aniracetam online when i was in college. there was definitely a noticeable effect, but hard to describe. i used it to help me study/do homework and i felt that my memory was stronger after taking it regularly. there was an alertness i felt while under its effect, but not anything like adderal or other speedy substances. years later i bought some more and it seemed like it had the opposite effect - i became more spaced out and forgetful. addtionally the second time around i was smoking weed every day when i took the ani, so maybe that had something to do with the poor effect.
anyways i read good things about the racetams, and aniracetam is the only one ive tried.

Also why would I eliminate the only thing that eliminates my anxiety, depression, and constant migraines? Why would I want mental clarity in an age oversaturated with shallowness and constant victimhood? Fuck that.

I've used armodafinil in the past. It's the stronger/longer lasting version. It gave me headaches. Never used it often enough to observe affects such as hair loss (never heard of it). It wasn't a miracle drug, but it helps in a pinch if you're sleep deprived or have to shift your sleep schedule.

Iv checked my countries database ( health industry fag) for side effects in the past and the only thing it says is dont take if you're a woman on the pill as it blocks/mitigates the effects. Never had an issue with hair loss or receding hairline, i have very long jesus hair, so no issues there.
>>55812
armodafinil does last longer and you get headaches because acetyl choline is used up by mods/arms and you should supplement that with choline shit or eat a tonne of eggs. The only times I got headaches was when I was experimenting with how much can I take before negative side effects come about ( headache was bang on third eye and was pulsing with each beat of my heart). To say the least dont take more than 800mg, underlying or background pychosis starts to happen, one of my mates took 1g and started having halllucinations. Otheer than that theyre a very decent study aid/ add or ADHD / sleep schedule changer.
>>55842
Creatine doesnt fuck your kidneys but it could depending on how much you are taking like with any drug really. Paracetamol can fuck your kidneys depending on the dose.
Shit bro, what dose of mods did you take? Really starting to reinforce the idea that people's bodies are fucking way different and all over the shop. Might be just you?
>>55842
I disagree but most of what I have is anecdotal evidence, so shit man too bad for you. Mind you the people who tend be insufferable cunts were cunts already to begin with.
To finish off, LSD, first dose being 0.5mcg and second does like 2-3months later at 1mcg helped cure my depression or at least open new pathways in my brain to help me cope with it better ( yes it is proven lsd helps create or unblock pathways in the brain, I just dont have the research links atm so you'll have to take my word for it).
DONT take LSD if you are having a shit day or stuff like that, never do that or you'll see demons.

Anyone got experience with nic patches?
Primary reason is I'm currently taking in nicotine via vape, but I can't really harness its effects while working like that. No smoke area in my office.
In the wild, the smell would give me away. Yes, this is an actual concern for me.
So, do our "slap patches" work?

There are plenty of already existing drugs that enhance the nmda receptor, L-theanine being one of them. A more interesting and potent compound is sarcosine, it's already been proven to be more effective in treating depression than a classical SSRI and even has efficacy in the treatment of schizophrenia. better yet it can be easily found online.

Recently I have been taking UAs and had my levels checked for several chemicals. Turns out my creatine levels were extremely low. There are several reasons why this could be the case, however it is probably related to the fact that I work out three on two off and that I donate plasma twice a week.
This lead me to taking a powder supplement which brought about some increases in my ability to sprint and quickly lift slightly. Most of all it's reduced my fatigue and recovery time from both activities.
Anyway, I figured my little anecdotal tale belonged here.

The only way for it to mess up your kidney's is if you take a LOT, the majority of what you take is filtered out of body but I wouldn't be concerned unless you were mixing it with another chemical. That's what I've read.
