Alright, /cyber/fucks, what kind of low cost bullshit do you do to spice up your wageslave lives with a touch of wannabe schway? I went all out, clearly. Ever so carefully taped printouts of stuff found here, and a few thrift store trips to nab blankets, pillows, and a TV to put under my elevated bed with my old PS2.
Give me your best/worst, chummers. Let's inspire eachother and our low-effort comrades.
(I've also got another TV with no input switch. Five brouzouf if anyone wants that piece of drek)

Different colors of light affect your sleep patterns.

>. Blue wavelengths—which are beneficial during daylight hours because they boost attention, reaction times, and mood—seem to be the most disruptive at night. And the proliferation of electronics with screens, as well as energy-efficient lighting, is increasing our exposure to blue wavelengths, especially after sundown.

I like to hang broken wires and circuit boards on my walls. It's free decoration because it's all stuff that I would have thrown out otherwise. Things like the innards of a USB stick, an old coiled headphone wire that I lost the headphones off of, stuff like that.

It seems tryhard because it's not organic–it's a show to appear cyber instead of being cyber.
If you had accumulated wires and circuit boards naturally, they served a functional purpose to be out in the rooms, and now they're just messily arranged–that's cyber. But intentionally gutting your old gadgets and displaying them on the walls seems pretty shazz. But I haven't seen it, so I'll reserve my full judgement.

Depends on you're view on minimalism, Not some shazbot art shit where you pay ¤1,000 for a rug that's just the right hue to go with the rest of your room but more about just having what you need without going into excess
e.g.
One/two pairs of work shoes, One pair for the weekend and a pair for fitness
One settee and one chair, Or a suitable amount if you're the sort that entertains/has friends over
etc

Cyberpunk IS low budget, the whole idea is low life/high tech. Problem is nobody wants to be a poorfag so the kind of cyber art that sells is the equivalent of a 2 million dollar flat in NYC filled with expensive shiny new toys "but hey there are screens everywhere so its totally cyber right?"

EL wire is better, if you like the neon look (though it's harder to get and costs more). Add some old routers, plus a ton of wires. Pretty cheap, and not hard to find. Wire up some LEDs to run behind them, and you've got a pretty good basic setup, especially if you're more into the old, 80s-90s look. If you're really cheap, buy a picture frame, and print out some schway pictures. Cut out the back of the frame, replace it with posterboard, and wire up a simple LED circuit behind it, and you've got a decent looking fake screen. Bonus points if you make it flicker.

Bread and circus means many things. Ironically when people become minimalists they are in fact maximalists. They want something for everything. they need an iphone, they need a camera, they need a wallet and a fob and keychain, they need it all, and they especially need to share it on social media, they forget to live, and their enjoyment is based on attention that doesn't feel as schway as human embrace, which they long forgot, because other people can detect their vain attention seeking behaviors.

>As said by someone on this board a year ago, if you're living in 2018 low budget with internet, you are cyberpunk.
This is really the appeal. You can't be cyberpunk if you work a 9-5 longterm job that requires rigid conformity your entire life. I'm not a commie shazbot though, I think capatalism is great because it means we can cheat the system by moving to poorer countries and living really cheap but well off.

These aren't preferable for your home aesthetic, but every Halloween dollar stores sell these cheap LED string lights. They're battery powered, and are about 5ish feet long.
I bought a bunch of purple (the most schway color) ones last Halloween, and hung them up in my car so that the power switches are near my driver's seat. These lights + some music + the police scanner = ultimate cruising experience.

I fucking wish I could go dumpster diving in other countries, the amount of useful barely old shit you can find is amazing, its not even broken most of the time and if it is its some minor shit you can fix in a second
But I live in fucking Argentina where thanks to taxes everything is expensive as fuck, even old as shit stuff, and you can't import anything let alone used things. Here people literally BREAK the things they throw away so nobody can use them, its like country-wide sociopathy.
Then I see some aussie on youtube finding a server just there for free and I want to fucking anhero myself
