According to jcaesar187 jcaesar187, on a stream hosted by memology's youtube channel, stream.me was already on it's last legs by the time The Killstream migrated there. Their ship may have been sinking even before the IBS trollstorm hit. This would seem to make sense, as their business model wasn't profitable. They paid people to live stream there via the leader-board, at a loss, in hopes that maybe just maybe the platform would take off. jcaesar187 referred to stream.me as a vanity project. There are also rumors that stream.me is involved in an intellectual property dispute with some other platform. One can imagine a business running a vanity project, operating at a loss, having to worry about potential intellectual property litigation, and then suddenly finding itself neck deep in gay ops, may have simply said "fuck it". The trolls, if they had any effect, may have just accelerated the inevitable. It was an obviously good domain name and it will certainly be missed. The small insular community made for really intimate participation. The chats were the polar opposite of crowded youtube livestreams where chat blows by at the speed of light. Let's hope Jim's morning streams and the likes of SPCC find another platform. Despite the IBS shit flinging shitshow, there was some entertaining cocks emerging there and I can't help but think the small scale that stream.me operated on was, at least for a viewer, more of a feature then a bug.
Who knows what will come of the scuffed.com rumors? If scuffed should emerge, with some of the same principles behind stream.me backing it, it might be fair to call scuffed.com "scuffed stream.me".
