Regardless of what the website says, if she's deriving income from it, she has to pay taxes. I suppose she could try to hide the income, but at some point it probably gets deposited in some bank account somewhere, and if the IRS were to notice that there was some extra income that wasn't getting reported, I'm sure they'd have something to say about it.

That could be why the site claims to be a "charity;" to get tax exemptions. Although it would have to be an official 501(c)3 with all the paperwork in order and filed with the government in order for that to be a valid excuse (the IRS will nail you to a wall if you don't have every single i dotted and t crossed). And still, there are restrictions on how the funds from a charitable organization can be used (you can't just run all your income through a charity and not pay taxes; the IRS isn't that stupid), which she'd probably be violating if she is just taking the proceeds from the sales and putting it in a personal bank account.
