What are foods that you absolutely hate?

For me its raw onions. I hate their texture, flavor, and they overpower everything else that is with them. I have absolutely no problems with onions if they are cooked in some way. In fact I think fried, grilled, and sauteed onions are fantastic and onions mixed into a salsa are fine.

Raw onions for some reason though are absolutely disgusting to me and if I cant pick them out of a meal then I will refuse to eat it.

I've only ever had them fried (with the exception of oysters) so if that's the best way to cook those foods it's a bad sign.

Ich esse lieber amerikanische Pizza.

Raw fish. I miss the days before the weebs made that shit fashionable in the US.

I don't like the sushi that contains it at all, but at least it has never made me sick; the ceviche and poke I've had however both gave me the Hershey squirts and vomiting simultaneously.

How hard is it to just cook your damn food?

>What race was the person making the dishes.

Unknown. But the person who brought it out to me was what Americans would probably imagine to be the typical South American: light brownish Spanish speaker from Lima.

The llama steak I ate near Cuzco was also awful, bland, greasy (why?), and not hot, not even warm. But the ceviche was what forced my body to empty it's stomach and intestines–so that's how I will always remember it. Surprisingly the best meal from that trip was the rat! I had decent food in Brazil, they put weird shit on their pizzas, it's not bad, just different; I did like their little sausages. But the Brazilians excel at booze. I'm usually not much of a drinker but I had a great time there.

It's no big deal, I usually get sick when I travel, nearly died in Thailand, I think the only reason I seemed OK in Cambodia is because their food was so awful that after the first day I stuck to dry stuff I'd brought along. Thai food was delicious, Cambo food not so much.

Bought a ticket to Argentina yesterday, I hear they have a good wine and beef tradition. Not sure how it'll be cooked, but I suspect the meat will at least be of good quality.

<hasn't tried eggplant salad

1. Roast them over fire (stovetop will do fine).

2. Put them over a sieve and salt them (this to drain bitter liquids)

3.Wait until cooled.

4.Peel away the blackened parts and chop the rest.

5.Add salt and a neutral oil (or whatever your choice), and mix in a bowl until homogeneous. Optional ingredients: egg yolks, chopped onions, chopped tomatoes. I prefer plain with onions.

6. Get a piece of bread and enjoy, faggot.

I agree with almost everything here but those hard peppercorns add a lot of flavor to some Chinese dishes, and while nobody cares for soggy carrots their taste isn't offensive, just unappetizing. I love the roast chickens. Only thing I would add are eggplants/aubergines, I've had them prepared multiple ways, all terrible.

There aren't many foods I've tried that I truly hate. Unfortunately there are a lot (far too many, and despite efforts to change) that I dislike, but not many I actively hate, and most ingredients that I dislike can be cooked in a different way that works for me. For example, I'm mildly allergic to certain raw vegetables (especially carrot and broccoli), and eating them causes an awful itching at the back of my throat. I don't hate them though, since cooking them fixes it.

I've never had mushrooms in a way I liked though. Raw, sautéed, in soup, in a casserole or lasagna, nothing. At best the dish would be better without them, and at worst they outright make me gag.

Buy tomatoes on a vine. They actually have flavor, unlike most of tomatoes that are just red balls without a trace of the stem. Still not as good as fresh tomato right of the bush, but they are as close as you can get without growing them yourself or buying them fresh from a farm.
