What are foods that you absolutely hate?
For me its raw onions. I hate their texture, flavor, and they overpower everything else that is with them. I have absolutely no problems with onions if they are cooked in some way. In fact I think fried, grilled, and sauteed onions are fantastic and onions mixed into a salsa are fine.
Raw onions for some reason though are absolutely disgusting to me and if I cant pick them out of a meal then I will refuse to eat it.

asparagus can be god awful if not done well. It could well be that it just doesn't fly for you, but i find the best way to do it is by grilling the asparagus dry on a bbq, or a cast iron pan, until the outside begins to char. rotate until all sides are done. plate it, drizzle olive oil and sprinkle salt. It has a nutty flavour. If boiled to hard or too long, they start to taste like urine, and if sauteed, they can get bitter. It'll also depend on the asparagus you get, it just might be shitty.
As for olives, I like them, but I totally get people who don't

It maybe helps that I'm german (>inb4 turk) and not murican , so american bacon really isn't a big deal over here, it's 90% smoked or cooked ham and I generally don't like smoked things too. I tried smoked forell, carp, salmon, duck, ham (Schwarzwälder Schinken), cheese and wurst and none of those things was particularly good tasting to me.
I do not mind it in stews, since it mostly disintegrates and gives a salty flavor, but pure smoked ham on bread, no way.
I do however like some sorts of Wurst which have a lot of bacon (Speck) in them, especially Gelbwurst and Weißwurst or Leberkäse, but bare in mind that the bacon used for this is mostly fat and not typical american bacon.

I used to have an issue with raw tomato. eventually I could have it in thin slices on a sandwich or burger. It all changed when I visited a friend of the family, who grew tomatoes in their back yard. They had some sliced and on a plate to be served as is, so I took one slice only to be polite, and I enjoyed the shit out of it. The only way I'll have store bought raw tomatoe, even now, is if it's grape/cherry tomatoes or vine ripened, as a salad, simple tomato bocconcini with evo, balsamic and fresh basil is great.

What finally got me eating these regularly with enjoyment, was nuking them in the microwave for fuckhuge amounts of time. Like, 10 minutes (in a large bowl with a bit of water at the bottom, and covered in a plastic grocery sack for a ghetto steamer) for the green beans and peas, and 15 minutes for green beans. Depending on the microwave that'll either burn the shit out of them or turn them into mush that can be eaten like mashed potatoes. Either way, IMO that's the only way to make them edible.

I'm fine with pureed squashes, but I hate them boiled or stewed, especially if they're in massive chunks. The texture and tendency of the flesh to slop all over my teeth and gums like a paste pisses me off. Pickled bamboo shoots have this weird smell to them that throws me off, even though I'm pretty much good with all other types of pickled veggies.

In my opinion canned tuna is good in tuna salad, canned salmon is worse but if you can find me a good canned tuna alternative tell me Norway! HAS TO BE IN A CAN, I can get fresh but it's for convenience sake, gotta last a long time without thawing. I've done chicken in a can but I don't care for it too much. Thank you again my friend

The brand of tuna makes a huge difference.
Bumble Bee is ok; Chicken of the Sea is disgusting.
Star Kist… not much experience.
Found the store had a sale on Polar (a brand I had not heard of before…)… turns out it is amazing. Instead of minced trimmings in a can, it is a freaking tuna steak in there.
Going back in a few days and buying a whole case or maybe even two cases.
As for alternatives.. Every once in a while, I do get a can of salmon and treat it exactly as I would canned tuna (mayo, relish… salmon salad for sandwiches), but this is really not an ideal use. Nice change of pace.
Have also been keeping kippered herring snacks and sardines (I like the Aldi house brand in mustard sauce) on hand; open tin, rearrange on toast, instant sandwich.
None of these are exotic; these are mundane proteins for commodity use - sandwich spreads and casseroles. I wouldn't consider them "fish" (for that, I prefer fresh); they're just convenient protein that happens to be of aquatic origin. I am just as comfortable getting similarly priced cutoffs of their ham or turkey from the deli section (when available - they slice in house, and the end segments they trim off and package cheap since they don't look like pretty slices for sandwiches), and treating them the exact same way (grinding and mixing with mayo and pickles to make sandwich goo).

>What race was the person making the dishes.
Unknown. But the person who brought it out to me was what Americans would probably imagine to be the typical South American: light brownish Spanish speaker from Lima.
The llama steak I ate near Cuzco was also awful, bland, greasy (why?), and not hot, not even warm. But the ceviche was what forced my body to empty it's stomach and intestines–so that's how I will always remember it. Surprisingly the best meal from that trip was the rat! I had decent food in Brazil, they put weird shit on their pizzas, it's not bad, just different; I did like their little sausages. But the Brazilians excel at booze. I'm usually not much of a drinker but I had a great time there.
It's no big deal, I usually get sick when I travel, nearly died in Thailand, I think the only reason I seemed OK in Cambodia is because their food was so awful that after the first day I stuck to dry stuff I'd brought along. Thai food was delicious, Cambo food not so much.
Bought a ticket to Argentina yesterday, I hear they have a good wine and beef tradition. Not sure how it'll be cooked, but I suspect the meat will at least be of good quality.

There aren't many foods I've tried that I truly hate. Unfortunately there are a lot (far too many, and despite efforts to change) that I dislike, but not many I actively hate, and most ingredients that I dislike can be cooked in a different way that works for me. For example, I'm mildly allergic to certain raw vegetables (especially carrot and broccoli), and eating them causes an awful itching at the back of my throat. I don't hate them though, since cooking them fixes it.
I've never had mushrooms in a way I liked though. Raw, sautéed, in soup, in a casserole or lasagna, nothing. At best the dish would be better without them, and at worst they outright make me gag.
