It has more to do with modern geopolitics than scripture or theology, if that's what you want to know. I wouldn't recommend watching it for entertainment either. The entire show is built around the mystery of the titular 'Messiah,' but it never really pays off. He could be the real second coming or a terrorist stirring up trouble, the show never really comes down on either side. It was left open-ended so Netflix greenlight a second season if it made them enough shekels.

I don't need to see it, it's a hot take edgy "reimagining" of the story of Jesus pushed by kikes. We've seen this over and over again with Jesus Christ, Superstar, the Shack, etc.
