I've made hundreds of tracks over the years, but never properly released anything. I'd liked to have done, but I had serious anxieties about putting myself out there (as well as everything else in life), and I also found it difficult to focus enough on one thing for long enough before moving onto the next project, or the next interest. Oh I forgot to mention, the machine to the left of the mixer is the 808 drum machine clone that I built, I forgot to post a picture of it here after I finished it. It works pretty well, only one relatively minor issue (any cowbell pattern I write will save with the wrong accent value on the last two steps), but no serious issues. Not bad for my first electronics build project.

Here's a "quick" 80s freestyle track I made when I was first testing it. I basically recorded myself pissing around on it for a couple of minutes as a test, and then decided to build a track around it. In true hip-hop fashion, I jacked the pattern for the beat from a well known electro record, 10 points to whoever correctly guesses it.

One thing I didn't mention about making an album is that I'd really like to design my own album art for it, just so it's truly a one-man-band project. I've got two graphics tablets each of my parents bought me one for Christmas on the same year, it was pretty awkward, especially as I didn't even ask either of them for one, but I only ever used them for about a month before packing them away and never using them again. I'm "alright" at drawing amateur cartoony line art stuff, but I'd really like to be able to do colourful landscapes and architecture, as well as realistic looking figures. Everything after the "initial sketch" stage feels tedious though, and I'm shit at anything involving colour.
