Open mindedness means not to cling to a certain belief or view point, regardless of conflicting evidence that otherwise would change your view point on a certain subject or topic.
A resiliant mind that rejects compelling evidence and doesn't consider it is very close minded. You know it is natural to change your mind on subjects, especially when presented with different information. When I was young, I was anti racist and thought we were all totally equal. I reviewed my mindset, now it is changed due to compelling evidence and my experiences. I see no issue with this whatsoever. Doesn't make someone susceptible to manipulation as such, or naive. I mean lets face it, if I was close minded on the subject like much of the population is, I'd straight up have rejected strong, compelling evidence that indicates there are differences within the races. I would see that as being straight up thick. Did you always have the same view points? Or did you have an open mind to certain topics that made you shape your opinions to what they are today.
Also, by no means am I saying everything I write is correct, it is just my opinion. I strongly disagree with you on some matter, agree on others. I just find it odd some people are too stubborn to accept and consider another view point but instead try to reject and disprove their viewpoint to protect their own.
If presented with the right information and evidence, which I personally currently think isn't possible, I could become a far left commie fag waving antifa flags on a street corner. Unlikely it would happen, sure, but you shouldn't fear changing your mind on matters.

Also "cure" is the wrong word, it would likely work the same way as rehabilitation for addictions, where you're never really "cured", but you find ways to cope with your demons and live without succumbing to your former urges that will decrease in severity over time. Once somebody develops a fetish, I don't believe there's (currently) a way to permanently undo it, only ways to minimise it's impact and not let it prevent people from starting families and having children.
"Homosexuality" is nothing more than a very intrusive fetish, usually picked up in early childhood, that results in people feeling disillusioned and desensitised to the opposite sex. It's not genetic, where you're "born this way" and that's that, like some people would have you believe. Almost every lad you see online that goes on about lolis, traps, or some other popular online fetish, was once a normal lad until they fell into some nasty habits and hung around bad influences that convinced them that what they were doing was okay.

His "evidence" is a mixture of me being very open and honest about my past experiences and former masturbation habits, this one time 3 years ago in a twitch chat when someone asked "what's the worst thing you've fapped to" and I said that I didn't want to answer, and then a bullshit conclusion that he came to and likes to spout every so often, likely because over the past 3 years I may or may not have called him a normalfag, insulted his sexuality, disagreed with his political views, thrown a shitfit about an off-site chatroom being pushed here that he may or may not have frequented, or semi-doxed him/one of his friends. It doesn't help that he also likes to assume that every VPN post is mine, even when he knows there are multiple netherlads here, at least one of which that has similar but more extreme views than myself.
