I tried wageslavery for a while and it was much worse than being a NEET on autismbux. As cocked up as things are for me right now, I still prefer it over spending every waking second in a depressing windowless factory for a minimum wage that I didn't even need. Having a bit more invisible money isn't a lot of use when the only thing you can do besides eat and sleep is more soul-crushing wageslavery.

Also I think you need to step out of your normie sense of time for a second. Waking up at half 11pm like I just did is only -5.5 hours away from 5am (the earliest "normal" wake time), and at least 10 hours of my day will be in daylight (at this time of year). Compare that with waking up at 6pm (+8 from 10am, -11 from 5am), where I might only see 5 hours of daylight, with the meat of the day being under artificial light. Going to bed at 5pm is an improvement, and in 2-4 days I'll likely hit normal time, and get another shot at building a stable sleep routine before it goes out of phase again.

For someone in my position, it was probably the best job I could have gotten, if not the only job I could have gotten. For fuck's sake, there's a giant house spider in the bathroom that I saw on the floor just I sat down for a number two, about 10cm long. After being frozen in panic for a bit, I managed to get around it and back into my room, then sprayed it to shit with some fly killer, then it fumbled it's way under the bath still alive. I still need the toilet, my mum's boyfriend just went in there but he didn't see anything. Why can't spiders just fuck off and stop trespassing?

I managed to go, I bent over the loo while standing instead of sitting down so it would be easier to manoeuvre around or leg it if I had to. The entire crevice between the side of the bath and the floor is drenched in that fly killer stuff, so it shouldn't want to come out, if it's even still alive. I hate when it's basically Schroedinger's spider, I'd rather there be a confirmed kill.

No, I as a grown man went to the toilet, saw the spider, figuratively shit myself, left the bathroom, then went back and sprayed it hoping it would run out of the corner so I could squash it with a book, but instead it ran under the bath. I came back to ny room to make a post about it, but before I was done another grown man woke up on his own and went to use the toilet, and I informed him of the spider before he entered so it wouldn't scare the shit out of him if it crawled back out (our toilet is right next to the bath, would have been right around his legs if it did). It was a year ago to the day that I started with my dad, and it's been 9 months since I quit. I was only there 3 months, and there's still the 5 and half years before that where I was 100% NEET.

When me not having a job becomes a survival issue, then I'll start worrying about it. In the meantime, I've got doctor's notes that are automatically renewing themselves so I never have to go up there, and after being interviewed, I got put on the "not fit for work" ESA list, so there's no fortnightly meetings or anything like that and I get paid more than I did before wageslaving. We've had this conversation too many times, but I hate winter and love summer, mainly because I get pretty bad SAD during winter. Today has been really nice and I feel amazing, but during the entire non-daylight savings period my mood always plummets through the floor, rock bottom usually being New Year's Eve.

I think this was actually a fairly large factor in me quitting my job. I was fine during the first month (September), but by October it had gotten to the point where I never saw daylight, and of course I wasn't using my SAD light at all. The year before was the only year in my adult life where I didn't find winter to be soul-crushingly miserable, as I was able to use my SAD light almost every single day, and it was actually a pretty comfy time. Hopefully this year will be the same now I'm back home.

Well, I personally was already on 8chan from the whole gamergate exodus thing in 2014 and a discontent with how halfchan ended up in general, but from what I remember, /int/ was invading, tripfag cancer was growing out of control, and the threads in general were just awful.
