Just found out about and played through the Tomb Raider 2 "fan remake" demo that got released the other day, and it's absolutely breathtaking. http://tombraider-dox.com/
It's gameplay style is almost identical to Tomb Raider Anniversary (undoubtedly the best non-classic TR imo), but the quality of the graphics, the music, and even the level design, is so much higher. You'd think there was a big budget AAA developer behind it considering how rock solid and polished it is, except you can tell there's not because it doesn't obnoxiously hold your hand, shove shitty feminist/diversity memes down your throat, consist entirely of bullshit scripted sequences or whiny characters, or contain glitches out the arse. I'd say it's near flawless, and it's a bloody fan made demo made almost entirely by one person. I could feel tingles down my spine at several points, the atmosphere, the lighting, and the environments are amazing. I'm a massive classic TR fan, and while it doesn't play anything like those, it's still simply incredible. I just pray to Christ it doesn't get shut down so the project can actually be completed, or at least extended a bit further than where it cuts off (that said, it's actually quite a long demo).
I give it a 10/10 - would buy twice if it were a real game. I'm guessing it'll run like a turd on a toaster, but I have a 4670K and a GTX 1070 8GB OC and it ran smoothly. I still can't believe it, old school Lara Croft back from the dead. This might even make up for the Sonic Mania fiasco.

Okay lads, so this week has gone better than last week did, although there is still a large room for improvement.
I actually meditated today for the first time in over a year, previously I was thinking about removing it as it was essentially a holdover from when I previously did this and wasn't actually thinking about bringing it back, but now I definitely am not.
During my meditation I felt more in tune with my thoughts than I have in a long time, I didn't feel distracted by something, or on auto-pilot or anything like that. I know meditation is supposed to be about clearing your mind, but it was really helping to turn it back on, if anything. I need to pay more attention to what I do, and how I think about things.
I've decided to start journaling again as a part of this, sp I'm using that as a personal project at the moment, so to speak. I've decided to try out tiddlywiki simply because its good for cross-referencing stuff, I can write how I feel about books/films in their own section and just reference them on the daily entries.
I think all this sort of stuff will help bring my attention span back up too, and help with my reading. I set my date for completion of the book at averaging 20 pages a day from when I started this ~2 weeks ago, so I've still got some catching up to do, hopefully I can do it if I keep up the meditation and journaling too.
I've been failing the bed on time a lot, I changed this to 12 around halfway through the week like previously mentioned, I think tuesday and wednesday would be successes under that, but I dont feel going back and changing them is right.
Although I'm calling the journal a project of sorts, I still want to come up with an actual coding thing, I'm thinking of maybe looking at some webdev again as thats quite rewarding on a shorter timescale than full on programming. Still need to think about that though, so I'm keeping that goal open for now.
I've also added a success/failure percentage at the bottom of the spreadsheet, I might move this somewhere else but I'm not sure where it would fit for best aesthetic, and I've got the formulas for it at the top right, which I should probably get around to hiding. My success is actually up 21% from last week, which is nice.
The thing I'm most worried about is whether I can actually have a day as successful as today and go to work, I need to improve my time management really, I woke up at 2 today, and got everything done reasonably well, but I certainly could have fit in more, how am I going to do this when I only have from ~6PM when I get home from work to midnight, when I'm expected to be in bed and still spend a reasonable amount of time watching stuff or playing games, or just generally doing something to unwind? Maybe I should find some good books on time management and read them.
I've also been looking at that cleanliness stuff, so next week I want to incorporate changing my PJ's and towels into my weeklies, I'm going to pop into Asda after work tomorrow and pick up some new towels and toothbrushes. I've also been reading that re-using water bottles leads to a lot of germs, because the ridges on them gives them a really good place to grow, so I want to pick up a 500ml multipack of water for when at home, currently the 2L bottle my parents refill in the fridge has been used for weeks, and the idea of that is freaking me the hell out.

Just checked in on the nu/britfeel/'s /britishfeels/ board and it's pretty horrifying. Homosexuality and tripfags everywhere lads, it's a fucking trainwreck. I'm actually quite sad to see what has become of our rainy little thread, what was once a beacon of quality posts on halfchan gave way to cancer of the most extreme sort. I even made the mistake of checking out 4chan /r9k/ today, looks like the homosexual and normalfag takeover is more or less absolute now.

After years of intermediate bottoming, I was plagued with bleeding and protruding hemorrhoids. I attempted to treat them with store-bought medications and suppositories. One day, I was to meet some friends for dinner, when, unbeknownst to me, a huge growing oily stain developed on the seat of my pants. Everyone knew what was going on and said nothing, yet it was humiliating. Later, a proctologist recommended their surgical removal. I refused.

That was lovecraftian
>I knew I would remain incomplete until I found the courage to submit.
I enjoy how well this describes both conversions to Islam and faggorty
I thought it was a ritual that sought to induce masculinity in it's adherents, because of the spartan and papua memes.
>To them, semen possesses the manly nature of the tribal elders, and in order to pass down their authority and powers, younger men of their next generation must fellate their elders and ingest their semen. Prepubescent and postpubescent males are required to engage in this practice. This act may also be associated with the culturally active homosexuality throughout these and other tribes.
Don't know how I feel about having just read those 10k words.

>The most important human relationship for a boy is the one he will have with his father. It sets up everything that happens later in life. This is not to disregard the essential role played my mothers, but their impact is primarily significant in terms of how they react to the interaction between father and son. As is often the case with the pre-homosexual boy, a caring mother will instinctively protect a somewhat delicate or apprehensive boy from an aggressive and demanding father. In being “gay,” I thought I would find a patient and accepting man who could usher me into masculinity.

I don't remember coffee shops in the UK ever being like that. In my mind, before places like Cafe Nero and Costa started opening, there were only greasy spoon cafes.
