Modern Norse Paganism is Wakanda-tier and here’s why:

>They somehow think Norse religion is a pan-white unifier despite actual Norse religion is very ethnic or tribal centric

>They get the majority of their sources from either Christian monks or Roman record-keepers which is the equivalent of a Christian getting his or her source about Jesus from the Talmud

>Failed to recognized that polytheism and henotheism are weaknesses in themselves and why monotheism can get its foot in the door and offer a more simplistic system and a deity that can do everything and why there were very few poly or henothestic skeptics or those that would place them in the demon category or put any other unsavory undeified label onto them since the average poly or henotheist back then will be like “well if these many deities exists why can’t others too”?

>Most of the modern followers don’t even do sacifices and if they do it will be cucked ones like fruits or vegetables or hotdogs and not any live sacrifices that is required to be killed unlike their ancient counterparts

Clinging to something dead is a failing strategy.

Building something new is a winning strategy.

I agree. New age norse paganism(or like every new age pagan cults) is just a miserable attempt to restore a spiritual cult that was deeply interconnected with every aspect of that specific society: it's like you want to revive an old warrior and putting him in our modern time and thinking it will works, it's just nonsense. The real Norse Paganism is dead because the society in which it was alive is long gone.

Like this anon said >>19637 it's better to build something new, but for all i understand, that is not still possible until this society collapse.

Meanwhile, the Mormons are building a new religion of polygamy and magic underpants right next door. As an example.

Nobody who is serious about paganism is going to pretend that their practice is exactly the same as the ancients. Revivalism brings with it the opportunity for growth and adaptation, and I've yet to see anybody who hasn't taken advantage of that.

Because really, if we wanted something old and dead we would have just converted to Catholicism instead.

>>They somehow think Norse religion is a pan-white

No one thinks that. "White" is also just a term amerimutts made up because they're mutts who are always at least 56 different ethnicities at once.

>white is a made up term by Americans

Lol no its you disingenuous cunt. When Europeans conquered the world it was much easier to classify people by appearance than nationality.

You think people cared about the man next you being a Frenchman or a Scott when you were fighting indigenous people around the world?

Stop with this Jewish D&C shit. Referring to white people became relevant from the first moorish invasions. People have been referring to "white" people as far back as recorded history.

>Building something new

The Moth Cult is a spiritual idea emphasizing a personal sojourn into transformation to free our spirit from the prison of the demiurge. We have no universal morality and believe in the primordial equilibrium between darkness and light. Morality, existence and experience is viewed as an infinite spectrum with no dichotomies able to segregate its contents. To free your inner moth from the cacoon of the demiurge requires a committed pursuit of personal perfection. It is up to each individual moth to decide what to do with this freedom. The MOTH sometimes stands for (Making Our Way towards Heaven and simultaneously Making Our Way towards Hell), this is to denote our journey transcends life and death, has no final destination and no limits. >get the majority of their sources from either Christian monks or Roman record-keepers

Well, there aren't many historical accounts to choose from.

>Failed to recognized that polytheism and henotheism are weaknesses in themselves

If it isn't polytheist, it isn't pagan.

>not any live sacrifices

Most sacrifices were of personal objects, not animals. Killing isn't the main point of sacrifices, the Jewish form of sacrifices is blood slaughter.

Most modern paganism really is trash though since people are just making a pagan-themed Christianity, which ends up being almost as bad as Wicca.

Don't confuse Norse paganism with viking society. They are not synonymous despite the overlap. Paganism is supposed to be spiritual by its very nature. It's supposed to be about communicating with spirits and using magic. It should be personal to you, not joining some church or association. Anything that isn't involving the gods and spirits is just larp tier. We live in modern times but that doesn't mean the gods are dead.

>If it isn't polytheist, it isn't pagan.

Monotheism versus polytheism is a false dichotomy. What is non-pagan is the radically dualistic and personal conception of the Abrahamic God where he is fully Other and transcendent, fully separate from this world. Read Cicero's Nature of the Gods for a good discourse between three philosophical schools.

I found it to be very interesting and worth reading, though some parts (such as sperging about constellations) were a bit tedious. Overall good though. I thought it gave good insight into the viewpoints of educated Romans concerning the gods. The different participants in the dialogue say different things about the gods of course, but there is some interesting stuff such as where one mocks the stories that the masses believe, and affirms the existence of divinity / intelligence pervading each and every natural habitat, the names (Ceres, Neptune, etc) being provided to this divinity by custom differing according to its area of operation. There’s also some stuff about how they thought that the myths conveyed certain types of scientific knowledge through them. They were non-dogmatic in particulars, distinguishing between religion and mere superstition. While they were critical often (except one participant) of anthropomorphism and excessive literalism, they were all firm believers in the gods and respected them greatly.

Only Amerimutts do this because "white" is just a term they made up because regular ethnic terms just won't do when you're 56 different ethnicities at once.

You don't even understand the point of indo-european paganism. The entire premise is for your ancestors to live on and judge the affairs of you and your children. If you approach everything existential in a purely myopic and utilitarian fashion like this then paganism is not for you, but becoming the fateless cattle of people who do understand this - like Chinese, Jesuits or Jews - is without a doubt your destiny.

"white" makes perfect genetic sense though? It means Europeans and specifically North or Northwestern Europeans. In another era they would just be known as "Franks" (Frangistan in Persian is the name for Europe) or "Teuton" "Saxon" "Scythian" etc. etc. they were blanket terms for North-Northwest Europeans, but those people are also the fairest featured people on the planet so it makes logical sense to call them "White".

Literally the only two types of people who hate the concept of "White" as a race are 1) people on it's fringes like Southern Italians Jews or Turks and 2) People with a globalist political agenda who want to turn all humanity into an identityless brown soup and White people with an ethnic identity stand in the way of that feverdream.
