This August is said to be good for working rituals. Tonight is a new moon and Lammas/Freyfaxi is tomorrow, starting August off on a Wednesday. Then there will be two new moons this month, the other on the 30th. It's thought to be a good time for reversing anything troubling you or just creating a new reality for yourself. If you don't care for the astrological aspect, then there isn't much else for the month with only Asatru's Remembrance for Radbod, King of the Frisians, on August 9th. For August 1st, my recommendation would be to at least get outside and buy food to enjoy the day and hold a feast for the night, and then ask the gods to help you make changes tomorrow. Over in the UK, they are having festivals tomorrow in some areas. Iowa also has a LammasFest from the 2nd to 4th, a small event but anyone in the area might meet new people there.

ive completely fucked my life lads, how do i unfuck myself using the power of this upcoming black moon? i remember reading the anglo saxons ritually did things that involved breaking down when the moon was waning, and did things that involved building up when it was waxing. for example plowing the fields when it was waning, then seeding them when it was waxing.

Something for me to notice already is how I bought bread for my mom, buy one get one free, without knowing my dad bought bread for her earlier, but then he didn't know I bought bread so he too bought the buy one get one free bread. I don't know if this is some kind of sign from Frey and/or Freyja but there is an overflow of bread in my kitchen.

I woke up today to my phone missing and I searched everywhere for it. I'm starting to think the elves may have taken it. Also unusual last night was thunder that was powerful enough to rumble the floor and shake the apartment building, causing dogs to bark, and thunderstorms are common where I live so it's not like I'm not used to them. This month has started off strange enough already.
