While Christianity is implicit anti-racism, Islam is explicit anti-racism, see Muhammad's Last Sermon, but both are tools to degrade the racial stock of the area enough so that the population can no longer find health in who they are born as but only in what they can believe in.

It promotes racemixing with Arabs and other subhumans as muslims have to consider everyone who follows their religion as brothers. It's very much the religious version of communism in that sense. It strengtens a people against invaders of other religions but makes them weak racially as they cannot defend themselves against invaders who share the same beliefs.

What I find interesting is that the islamic antichrist, Al-Masih ad-Dajjal, is one-eyed just as Odin is. Maybe that could just be a coincidence but it could be seen as reflective of how islam is a semitic religion and the opposite of an European religion.

I didn't care for the Qur'an. Supposedly it's beautiful in Arabic; to the point that a proof Muslims give of the Qur'an's validity is that no one can imitate it. I'm going to go on a tangent, but this is kind of interesting. I can imagine the first generation of people forced to convert being miserable. But then their children know Arabic fluently, and they're exposed to the Qur'an as something marvelous. If by design, this is a great way to prevent conquered territories from throwing off their Islamic facade the moment they get the chance. The children will love Islam more than their parents, more than the Jihadis that imposed themselves too.

Back to the Qur'an itself: it's fairly interesting whenever it actually talks about stuff, other than "lo Allah is most merciful and if the unbelievers repent they shall be spared." At least half the book consists of that sentence. When it tells stories or talks about metaphysical matters then it's actually very good. I think that the Qur'an would be a solid religious text if it were mixed with some of the core Hadith to create a chronology, as well as some treatises on philosophy. But I simply can't rate it highly relative to other texts. The Bible is very consistent and is all you need to learn about Christianity. Eastern religions are syncretic and don't care which texts you use or don't use. Meanwhile the Qur'an itself tells you to study the Hadith and refers to Arabic cultural norms that you'd have to learn from somewhere else.

Don't get me wrong, Islam is very well designed. If I were going to make a religion designed to conquer the globe, none would be better than Islam. But the Qur'an is very unimpressive as a religious scripture. The only things of value in the entire religion are things they appropriated from other peoples' faiths.

Because of another thread I had never looked into the weird sex questions of the quaran until now. Of course the Old Testament has its oddities, written by the jewish race but "Sahih, Book 003" puts that to shame:

Also in the Sunan it makes that man should be fine with his wife's child:

"A man from the Ansar called Basrah said: I married a virgin woman in her veil. When I entered upon her, I found her pregnant. I mentioned this to the Prophet. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: She will get the dower, for you made her vagina (farj) lawful for you. The child will be your slave. When she has begotten (a child), flog her."
