How the fuck does one celebrate Walpurgis? I've been trying to dig for context and ideas, and short of a full-on ritual here's what I can surmise:
>spring/fertility celebration
>give offerings to Freyja/other Vanir
>bonfires
>something about protection from witches who dance on a mountaintop
>the Wild Hunt are somehow involved
Short of the old praise-ask-offer ritual, what do my fellow /asatru/ars do? Or do you just celebrate May Day instead.

From all my readings on the high festival it is a night of strong magic. So it is the most ideal for runecastings and dealings with wights and the Gods.

Dunno if this is just preserved locally where I live actually or if it is practiced through the country, but tradition is here for the kids 14-18 ish to go drink that night up at the lake here.
I'm not sure about this either, but I suspect like yule the dates here have been scewed about two weeks so it's the summer blot we're talking about here. So you are supposed to slaughter an animal if you can. >>16979 And yes there is something about seeds and beer
