Watched some of a playthrough of it. Kratos seems like a good dad, definitely too closed off from his son but he holds "BOI!" to a high standard and teaches him manly shit.
That being said, the plot is "giants are dindu nuffins, the gods are all assholes who stole the power of creation from Ymir and made a totalitarian regime to rule over everyone, Odin is evil and oh by the way Kratos' son's secret name is 'Loki' and Jormungandr is just a big spaghetti noodle who is actually nice."
