Speaking of saints, the whole saint veneration of Orthodox/Catholic christianity is almost polytheistic in nature when you look into it. There are special guardian saints for all kinds of specific groups of people like travelers and children, then there's local saints who are venerated by the people of a town in which they lived. Rulers like the Romanovs can be declared saints and the veneration of them by Russians seems similar to a sort of ancestor worship. Some people keep statues or paintings of their favourite saints and some Catholics in the past have made entire organisations devoted towards the veneration of a specific figure like Mary or Jesus.

Christianity is just another implementation of Jainism. You're right for the most part, in Orthodox Christianity the Pagan gods were replaced and rebranded as Christian saints. Virtually nobody worships the Romanovs as saints in Russia though.
