my name is Ezekiel obadiah smith, my parents were crazy Mormons (not fundamentalists just crazy)… should I adopt a new first and middle name? I feel like I'm fucking amish or something. Wotanist btw.

If that was my name, yeah I would, even if I never converted.

I plan to change mine before I have kids. I'm the only person in my family with a non European (it's hebrew) name. If it was just me I wouldn't care too much, but my family has a tradition of naming the oldest son after their father and I'm not going to continue adding foreign names to my line. It helps that my parents didn't have any meaning behind my name, or it would almost be an insult.

How do you goys feel about Roman names? It's become a tradition in my family to give everyone Roman names.

Just change your middle name and go by that.
example:
Ezekiel Michael Smith,
call me mike

I was lucky enough to have a completely traditional pre-Christian European name.
Thanks mom and dad.

Unfortunately, American blacks have appropriated a lot of Latin names. They think it makes them sound like kangs. Alexander is still a very white name, though.

Hey, my family did the same thing. I am Edouard Clovis Zorn, I don't think I'm related to the painter Anders Leonard Zorn though. I don't think you should change your name because it is apart of your family past and after all its just a name. Jewish names don't name the jew and (((they))) know that so it serves no purpose and only hurts the love your parents had for you. Even though my middle name is not Germanic and that of a race-mixer I wouldn't change it because I was only named it because my father was reading the "A Study of early Christian thought" around the time he impregnated my mother. Was he unhappy and trying to get back to the earliest of sources to find a deeper truth? He seemed it but I'll never know now. He was my father and no matter what he was told he married a white woman in these days of degeneracy and spent his life with her which is a platform for me to do the same and continue our line.

I think I'll likely change my name as well. It's nothing to do with shame or disrespect. It's everything to do with correcting mistakes.
