So I have been thinking about taking up Yoga. Now I am not taking this up to be trendy. But after listening to several people talk about its benefits and thinking about it for some time I am considering taking it up.

I have had back issues for a year now and been doing stretches anyway for months for it. But I have always felt I am not getting a deep enough stretch.

Stephen McNallen even wrote a blurb about how he does Yoga and that swayed my opinion more in its favor.

Anyways what does everyone think?

Any type of exercise is asatru approved.

From person experience - try yoga out, steal what works for your own exercise routine, ignore the rest.

(westernised) Yoga is just exercise.

Exercise is good for you.

So exercise. I mean, this is just some cultural good you take from a foreign source because it does a good job. western germanics were more than happy to take improved barley strains and cattlebreeds from the romans via trade.

Be mindful of what you practise and which remains in your "native sphere" that you cultivate- but dont go full retard about rejecting everything that has an exotic whiff to it as you might as well label stuff like curry haram-unasatruish- and start being caught up in something similar to judaic autism.

Yoga is a Scandinavian form of gymnastics created in the the 19th century, which the Indian corrupted with their mumbo jumbo.

Galdr and Seidr. More close to real yoga which is beyond exercises.

This, absolutely. Do bodyweight exercises to complement weight lifting. I do "plank" exercises combined with movement which strengthen my "core" muscles while giving me flexibility.

Slow stretching movements are essentially yoga, very important to do daily. Give it a at least fifteen minutes a day.
