I am the father of a heathen in the Florida Dept. of corrections and I am writing this in an effort to find the Heathen community at Marion C.I. an advocate or sponsor. This role does not really entail anything more than being an outside contact to answer questions from the chaplincy and help solve issues regarding religious rights and needs.
The men there want to make it abundantly clear that they are not looking for money or any kind of hand-outs. ( SELF-RELIANCE!) They simply need someone on the outside to stick up for them when it comes to issues with the chaplin and administration at their institution.
