It’s pretty rad. Some years JRRT writes a simple one-sentence letter from Santa and it’s warm and familial, but then some years he wrote like 5-page epics about how him and his friends the “snow elves” had to defend the North Pole from invading goblins.
I’m not kidding, see if you can find it, it’s totally worth reading.

I read these letters for the first time this year. They were really nice. Tolkien seems like a good father. Most people wouldn't have made the effort.
