I think the problem with all these isekais is when the characters form a party, it becomes about the party and deviates from the original hook.
Or at least it would be more interesting if he paired with other exterminator-minded people. An assassin's guild trying to recruit him would be fun too.

Tanaka no Isekai Nariagari
Once again jap gets accidentally isekai'd as a bystander in a summoning ritual ceremony for the hero. Except this time the jap is a 32 year old chuuni manchild who is unknowingly OP but also incredibly innocent and stupid. So stupid in fact that when they ask him to read off his stats he tells them 1 and 2 because he can't read scientific notation, so they kick him out of the country to avoid embarassment.
Happy sperging as an adventurer he saves up for some beginner magic spells but because he has literal retard strength magic, spells for campfires create infernos and drinking water spells make tidal waves. Instead of realizing he is OP he blames the results on poor control and being a shit wizard and resolves to get better.
His autism spaghetti prevents him from joining groups but it's ok though.
He saves a skeleton from an angel and makes it a party member, then gives it a hood, scythe and pointy canines because he is chuuni as fuck. He also dresses like Elvis. He's a pretty fun guy.
Usually supremely OP MC are the worst kind of lame and boring but I like the way this is going, would recommend. Only 4 chapters so far though.

One of the major reasons why isekai are fantasy settings is for the MC to be a big fish in a small pond. Being in a scifi setting makes this harder to do, not impossible just harder, you'd probably have to do some post apocalyptic shit to do that. RPG mechanics are there because the author doesn't know how to show don't tell, that being said if the author should use game mechanics they should use table top rpg mechanics not jrpg ones and not explicitly throw the numbers infront of you.

You misread me I think. The Si-Fi is the starting area for the narrative. You establish they're part of a space-faring society and you drop them into a fantasy/medieval setting. It doesn't have to be an older age either, you could have them be stranded on a planet during an industrial age or even on a planet with tech comparable to ours in our current year.
You go with the whole "underdeveloped planet treaty" kinda business where the MC knows they can't reveal what they actually are so they can't be seen using what would effectively be "cheat skills" via their tricorders or whatever fill in the blank wonder tech that would help them survive on an underdeveloped planet.

Lookan for an isekai that I never completed watching.
It has 2(?) high school girls transported to a world where there are only little chibi people. It starts off with them in some kind of canyon before they are discovered by a chibi warrior in his little flying ship, who then proceeds to take them to a village where the two are thought of as heroes.
