Reading AirGear again, don't know if it's nostalgia goggles, but I'm enjoying it a lot more than modern stuff I've read recently.
Just judging by stuff I've read it feels like there was a sharp downturn in quality/taste in anime and manga in 2014, then another sharp downturn around 2016.

not really, modern stuff is really bad the only good thing is the animation quality sometimes,so is kinda obvious you will enjoy those series more.
the quality got worse the further from 2005 gets (and only if they are new if they started their careers on the golden age there is mostly no quality loss,i couldn't stomach kimetsu no yaiba 4 episodes yet having a good ride with Edens Zero)
