E-Kon translation of Anno's account of events
https://mobile.twitter.com/out_sall/status/1211474824335429638
So Anno posted tweets a couple days ago about how they stole money from him and the president getting caught with CP. Now they're shutting down and Anno is speaking out about it because he wants to distance himself from all of this and any sort of the accusations and crimes relating to him. Why aren't you guys on top of it /animu/?

Not really that surprising honestly.
Last time I checked a couple of years ago, their site was basically about renting event space or some shit, and maybe a sidebar about selling Eva, GL and Piss & Shit merch. Barely having anything to do with making anime for a really long time now.
I'm honestly more surprised anyone actually thought them to be alive as a studio at all by this point.

You will take the bullying and you will like it, oniichan.
Seriously though, putting the company and law shenanigans aside, any significantly notable shit they did was almost a decade ago, with only promises of Gunbuster 3 and the Honneamise sequel seemingly keeping them running.
Alongside the FLCL thing, they seem to be gunning to become the hollyjew/marvel of the animu industry. Unable make originals for shit, and just selling sequel rights to popular old properties.

Honestly surprised it took this long. Gainax was hemorrhaging money almost since they started. Evangelion was actually their "comeback" anime in 1995 after they lost money on projects like Otaku no Video, and they just coasted on that and avoided paying taxes.

Between putting up shell companies and letting others buy all the stock and effectively the sequels to old shows they were supposed to be making, its kind of late for that.
Even worse, its just that the main company got hollowed out to avoid lawsuits and probably tax evade again. Not really preventing them to jew out even further.
I'm just waiting till a Gainax California pops up up, to be bought by kikeflix, and making Nadia 2: the secret of African boogaloo, with Nadia being a strong independent vegan tranny who don't need no Jean, and magically doesn't get reamed by reality like in the original.

The original End of Eva should have been the last anything to do with the franchise other than supplementary material explaining some shit further. Instead they decided to go full Disney with useless reboots and adding Mary Sues.

If they ever attempt to remake EoE, I want them to make it with maximum SUFFERING.
>turns out all those different coffins on the moon were different kaworus
>he was judging humanity and was sent to places around the world
>other kaworus were sodomized and killed by bankers and rich pedophiles
>they all start to wake up on the moon around the same time
>decide humanity is ripe for reaping with the one gay for shinji being sad
>he gets offed and the other ones get to work starting the final impact
>insert animated book of revelations here
>other branches under seele try to fight back global invasion by four mega angels
>ending is the end scene from eoe but with kaworu there apologizing to humanity and shinji looking at hellfire in the background
How hard could it be?

I mean that is practically the island/Africa arch already, so at least it would be true to the source material.

If you've seen the title and the preview footage of Eva 4.0 it's not an end to the rebuilds, if anything its something completely new, like they plan on making 3 more movies following 1.0-3.0

By the time of 5.0 and onwards comes into play, all of the staff will have to breed a bloodline of successors solely to work on Rebuild.
