The fact that your taste is shallow is the least of my concern, but how could you watch that slideshow that is Black Clover? People that would willingly watch garbage that butchers the already paper-thin source material should not be so prideful. Boogiepop truly would make one fall asleep. Bem truly butchers it source material by making the Yokai indistinguishable from humans totally misunderstanding how that fundamentally ruins the actual story, Cop Craft is Cop Craft, Shoumetsu Toshi is a solid 5/10 but I hate Hana Kanazawa's sounding so damn bored in all her roles. Just retire you bitch.

I actually haven't finished much current year+4 shit besides Mob,No Guns life and Dr.Stoner, but I've been busy wiping backlog and watching/playing shit I've been meaning to finish for a while.

Literally none of the shows you mentioned as AotY is even a contender. Mob Psycho 2, Psycho-Pass 3, or Chihayafuru 3 are the best 3 anime this year. Limiting the contest to originals, it probably has to go to Beastars, Dr Stone, or Sarazanmai.

I only watched 11 this year. Chou Kadou Girl 1/6, Sounan desu ka, Tejina Senpai, Ueno-san, and Ani ni Tsukeru season 3 would round out the top 5.

I agree with Askeladd, I haven't read the manga and I'm excited to see what outcomes his machinations cause. Mary Steinberg is pretty fun too. Many of the characters from Chihayafuru 3, Mob Psycho 2, or Psycho-Pass 3 could also be added to this list. Otherwise, excluding obviously main characters I'd add Clara Valac from Mairimashita! Iruma-kun and Quitterie Raffaeli from Kanata no Astra.

Boogiepop was head and shoulders the best anime that I watched this year and I will die on that hill. The rest is really just my personal favorites but even if I'm trying to be "objective" Kimetsu no Yaiba had a lot going for it in terms of production. Fire Force had a lot of flaws but pleases my autism.

Neither of those were in the mix for me at all. Mob had its' moments of very good animation which was cool. I don't dislike Mob as a character, he's pretty relatable and sympathetic but I find it frustrating that his whole goal is to be a normalfag. Dr. Stone had a weird mix of genres, ideas and tensions but I can't think of anything that I felt like the show did really well.

Psychopass 3 was solid but didn't do much to expand the premise of what was already established IMO.

On second thought,I just remembered I watched Dororo,so if that needs to be added anywhere,it needs to be in the disappointments list.

The first cour was very solid,but the second cour was so choppy,the last episode was rushed to shit and the cheapest,budget cutting techniques that was in some scenes was unbearable. This is without going into the absolutely retarded "debate" they had in the last two episodes about "You have to work for your own prosperity/Needs of the many" shit acting like there's MORAL greyness to it or that they're the ones responsible for it.

They did an insanely good job with Jukai though, I'll give them that

It had those moments consistently from the first episode to the last, nearly every episode besides the eighth had at least one incredible instance of animation going on.And even that one had the fire scene going for it.

His goal is to not be defined by his powers or be a friendless NEET and have something to actually do with his life. And that may not even be the case anymore by the end of the Manga.

A retarded "be yourself, there's nothing wrong with you" message would have been far more insulting.

It's main issue how it was inconsistent in what it skipped and what it didn't.We also didn't get another moment with Strong Desire in the background at all at the last fourth, I think.
