I like the art and backgrounds, but the butler is not in my tastes. I find goat demons disgusting, no matter how much you gussy them up. I get it if the author is using the dark and cold feeling of a goat demon to contrast the bright loli, but i find it distasteful. Not as hard of a light/dark contrast, but similar setting would be that magician's wife/slave series that aired a few seasons ago.
Would you read it if the butler was instead a seven foot nog, but with the same dialogue and no ebonics? Food for thought.

So the outside world curses anyone who encounters the 'darkness,' which is yet to be explained in what I've seen. Will this be a plot point the mangaka takes his or her sweet time explaining? Will it be a 'force or power' that has a ruleset as limited as the mangaka's imagination? Maybe it will just be a metaphor, and the real thing causing the curses is someone or some magic/supernatural force? I don't mind reading to find out if it is explained in a reasonable time. I don't particularly care about being spoiled for this, if you have read much farther ahead and would like to explain.

I agree that the demons look irksome, but I realize it's part of the point. It's very clear that nobody in the story likes the curse. It's not meant to be embellished. It's supposed to strike at the feeling of inadequacy. The story has this constant depressed feel to it, bordering on horror. The dude's already gone, but he's still humane. It's disgusting at first, but then you'll notice brief moments of normality that are so out of place that they actually lift some of the heavy atmosphere so it won't be grimdark all the time, like the tea parties with Shiva and the demon dogs playing with the goat demon's head like a ball.
