Good to see some anons are still lurking here to give condolences.
Here's a brief summary of how 8kun ended up like this:
8kun was hacked in late 2017 and all media was lost. Pictures, videos and even
PDF files, all gone.
Not only the old media is still lost but new media uploaded is deleted directly
at the CDN soon after uploading. Without any justification from staff, we can
assume this is a move to slowly kill any kind of porn on 8kun, since this isn't
the only board affected by it. This assumption is reinforced by the fact that
Jim Watkins, the current owner of 8kun, is (or was) running for congress. Of
course he woudn't want his name to be associated with fetish porn or any other
porn in general.
Banning this or any other legal porn bord would go against Watkins' mantra of
"Speak freely, legally". Instead, a slow suffocation from within the CDN which
doesn't generate any log actions, freeing the staff of the burden, seens to be
the ideal way do remove the undesirables boards. With the added benefit of
plausable deniability from Watkins' position:

In short, It's not worth to keep this board afloat because 8kun is not worth
visting. 8kun's current state of affairs is abhorrent. To give some examples:
The Help guide for 404 media tells to request /sudo/ for help and /sudo/ doesn't
even exist anymore. It also mentions an Alacrity daemon and points to a non
existing topic on the FAQ. There is FEMA user with the power to delete
anything, it was supposedly to be used only with US-law violating content but it
is used to delete arbitrary media.
