Somewhat related: I remember reading an speculative article not too long ago on a AltRight/NRx/DissRight(?) site about the influence SomethingAwful had on the callout/online mob culture the modern left has built up over the years but I can't find it again.
Found it pretty interesting because much of the stuff in the article was info found during early #GG digging for example (and even that was incomplete, esp. on the journo front it looked much worse).
