I think the Whorf hypothesis is mostly bullshit, and testing it is one of lojban's purposes. Still, I think it's cool how lojban is unlike any natural language.
Natural languages change, but they don't get more complex (supposedly). So the language that hunter gatherers in Africa spoke 30,000 years ago would have been just as complex and hard to learn as modern English. Natural languages don't progress or get better. But constructed logical languages like math (and maybe lojban) do...obviously math nowadays is more complex. That's why I think the distant future of language will be constructed languages like lojban.
