Russia is preparing 10,000 Dan-T missiles for strikes on Ukraine in 2027
The "Dan-T" is a newly emerged precision-guided munition deployed by the Russian Armed Forces that bridges the gap between a loitering kamikaze drone and a cheap, simple cruise missile. Derived from Russia's lineage of high-speed aerial target drones (such as the Dan-M used for air defense training), it has been heavily modified and weaponized for long-range strikes.

Russia is reportedly looking to transition its manufacturing base toward the Dan-T specifically due to its lower cost and its reliance on domestic Russian components. Ukr and Western sources believe Russia is planning to produce 10 000 of the missiles
Unlike standard ground-launched kamikaze drones, the Dan-T features a hybrid, multi-platform launch capability.
– It can be deployed from:Ground Platforms: Wheeled truck chassis outfitted with dual transport-launch containers.
– Helicopters: Primarily integrated into the Mi-28 combat helicopter fleet.
– Fixed-Wing Aircraft: Deployed from tactical and multirole jets including the Su-25SM3, Su-30SM, Su-34, and even the Su-57 fighter.
▪The main threat of the Dan-T does not stem from high-tech stealth or hypersonic speed, but from its sheer production volume.
By flooding the airspace with thousands of relatively cheap, high-subsonic, and hard-to-intercept missiles, the Russian military aims to overwhelm and deplete Western-supplied air defense systems, leaving high-value infrastructure vulnerable to subsequent waves of heavier missiles.
