Realistically, most people probably just fucked off. Only the most autistic of the autistic are actually going to seek out an alternative for 4chan. The casuals who browse/lurk the place and sometimes post probably just fucked off back to Twitter/IG/Facebook and whatever other social media apps they normally post on. The autists with no friends/no discord server/no irc channels etc etc to go back to pretty much only have 4chan as a form of social interaction, and those type of people despite what they may think or say, are the minority, not the majority that makes up 4chan. Which is why you see even after the site went down, most of the alt chans are still pretty dead in comparison to 4chan, even with everyone scrambling for an alternative.

8chan.moe's /v/'s oldest, least-bumped thread in catalog is dated only 3/22/25, but its rules sticky is 2022. So that means it's not a new board, it's just got legit thread turnover.
It's also got OVER 9000 concurrent users according to the board list, with 2338 posts per hour. They're currently recruiting new board mods because they're overwhelmed with the population boom. Which is how it has legit thread turnover I suppose.
In comparison this /v/ only has 6 posts per hour and 242 users.
So I guess you're just on the wrong 8chan remake. The only board that's bigger here that I've found so far is /pol/ and of course it is, 8kun's had that Qanon thing going on for years. kun is technically an infinitychan, but it's practically a politics-focused monoboard.
also, weirdly enough a lot of the worst dross jumped ship TO Soyjakparty, the ones who hacked 4chan. I don't know if it had a /v/ but if it did, they probably got a huge influx of members.
