The issue is that 8chan of a decade ago died with Infinity Next and is shrapneled into 20 different smaller imageboards with virtually no userbase. I think a chunk of the people using 4ch migrated to the 8.moe site with a splattering on the webring (which is really just people who didn't want to associate with the board owner of the original 8chan's /v/ because he's genuinely terrible), but 8kun itself is completely and totally useless outside the retards who bought into qanon being real and not just Jim and Ron pushing out bullshit
