This song has become somewhat of a meme for being so fast, mostly spread because of different guitar hero style games including it. The "Unbreakable Machine Doll" anime it's from is interesting in that it brings up another part of the japanese tradition of mechanical dolls and neatly connects them to the modern age. These existed already in the 1600s and were not free from the spiritual aspects of the time. This is the reason robots or articifial humans are viewed as an integrated part of japanese culture today, unlike in western society where "terminator" set the stage for the tech noir dystopic view.

It's a good thing to remember that just a few decades ago, technology and the future was seen as bright in the west also. We can learn something from Japan here.

Even more relevant currently with Projekt Melody drawing attention in the west.

The topic of explaining the magic that created this place hasn't be explored, yet we're interacting with entities which don't give much mind to the action of eating humans. I myself have explored and understood the nature of cannibalistic magic, but none of it strikes me as particularly edgy. Places like /robowaifu/ have and carry a real aim to create robotic replacements for human women, if that's what you're referring to. A got a massive information dump on the relation of this place, my relation to it, and it's relation to the world and the general symbolism behind a lot of the things here. What I said also falls in line with my first impression of this board.

My reasoning for saying that bit was because it's another form of cannibalistic magic. In cannibalism there are two people really required, the person eaten and the person eating. Most of the shock and push-back against it morally in modern society is because of it's innate effect in the person being eaten, it's an energetic cleansing of a very powerful kind. Meaning, it's a method of maintaining morality. Falls in line with yokai and their use in maintaining human morality. Human and yokai relationships aren't a one way street, both effect the other. The magic I saw in your past life, and the magic I see behind romanticism, is of this nature. Except it only needs a single person to complete the movement. The fatal flaw I see in it is it's maintenance in believing reality is separate from the individual. "Man is God and God is a man", the creation of the universe follows the human mind and the human body and never leaves that influence. The same problem is why I don't like senbonzakura.

Human morality definitely isn't about rules or following the laws of those who are higher than you, it's innate and part of cultivation.

I made another form of cannibalistic magic yesterday. Explaining it's functions would require a more stable mind so I'll wait on that, if the time ever comes. Useful for if you have a particular kind of sacrificial energy I mentioned before. If the energy is lacking it'll provide only a cleansing effect, but consumption would provide the same energy. I have to thank that one particular vampire for helping me again and showing me her side of the magic. Having a strong affinity with an entity really does help move things along.
