For days now I've been attempting to install a gui to the pi zero but the wifi module refuses to work. I'm actually resorting to bothering the admin of tinycore's forum about it.

I can't use a terminal for shit. I've flashed the sd so many times it's probably broken by now. Trying again and again. I just did just to make sure that I can't get it done, then came back to see if someone on the Internet gave me a better option. They have not. I downloaded raspbian's desktop os, their smallest version of it, and it doesn't even fit on the sd card, as it's only 4gb but flashed enough that it's damaged too much for the 3.8ish gb os to fit on it.

I could put raspbian lite on it, but last time I did that I barely got the browser to even work. There's no way I want this as a backup computer in some gobag when I WILL forget the commands to open books to read and such.

I can't use a terminal only OS.

So yeah, that's what I'm trying to do. For days. install the wifi modules on picore so that THEN IT CAN INSTALL TC.tcz, it's gui. Old pages CLAIM that picore had gui preinstalled, but it's not there that I can see from the guides telling me to install it myself, and the wifi modules. But there's no room to paste the wifi module in. So, using the fdisk shit I resize it, take it and try to paste it into the sd with my win7 computer that can't see linux distors, and bam, no room. Again.

>boot linux live then

I'm locked out of the boot order on this computer of mine. They don't make them like they used to.

Do you have any idea how much I've stressed over my lack of an ability to code for this last decade? I'd figure someone would have made a simple gui based OS for the zero at this point and they have not. What do you expect me to do? Say thanks? Learn something I can't learn? I was raised on no OS, and my first that I got to finally see near adulthood was win9x, not dos.

It's not part of MY BASE PROGRAMMING to do basic operations without help from a gui. I can't get the wifi module pasted in. I can't install any software. Installation from the tar is literally impossible unless you have an over average IQ and I don't have that.

Even the guides don't match. I followed a guide step by step, the wifi module when tested ouputted "OK" then still detected no wifi. I tried pasting it in with a secondary Linux, Lubuntu, it still copied with errors into it's optional folder. Its fucking impossible. Why is there zero OS for the pi zero that can fit on a 4gb sd card that comes with a gui?

On top of it all, I spent over 100 usd on the peripherals for the thing and I've never used the piece of shit. It was going to be a glorified ebook reader, but as it is I'd have been better off buying literally anything else. An mp4 player with txt reading capabilities is probably 25 usd. This shit wasn't. Even if I get it to work the lcd won't likely ever work, so I have to spend ANOTHER 50+ USD on some tiny monitor for it's hdmi. It's such bullshit. There's no logical reason why I should not take a giant shit on this thing, microwave it, then snap it in half and throw it in the trash can, then light that trash can on fucking fire.

Fuck you nigger. As if you use the terminal. No one does that shit other than some faggoty admin of a site with shitty rules.

If I try something like 9 times and it's not that many steps and yet it kept failing then something is off, and I'm not that stupid. No one made good software for the raspberry pi's. At least not for the pi zero. It's all either unfinished garbage or memory leak garbage. Can I program? No, but win9x didn't give me problems.

*with help from a gui

blah blah you get the fucking point

This shit is bad and it should feel bad. There's no way I fucked it up that many times. I tried everything and it should just work. It's not hard at all to install software to Linux when connected to the Internet, but the pi zero's picore has no fucking Internet access, yet they gave it a version of tiinycore? WHY?

>because you can just add the module

THE FUCK YOU CAN

Try one of these until you get your feet wet.

The 20 Best Raspberry Pi OS Available to Use in 2020

https://www.ubuntupit.com/best-raspberry-pi-os-available/

Try this at least you will have some alternatives. I would use a min 20gig sd card so you have something to work with, the larger the better. Then you could try one of these https://nosystemd.org/ but they're not for beginners, wait until you have more experience. I'm Debian based since 1995, you can build a fantastically powerful computer for about $2500. save up, for example: and you can put any OS that you desire on it.

MintBox3 Pro is a high-performance fanless Linux workstation.

I hope this helps.

There's no way I can see you running a GUI off of a pi zero. It's just not happening. Anyways.. LEARN HOW TO USE THE TERMINAL OR STOP BEING A LITTLE FAGGOT. Jeez, you whine like some autistic manchild whose diaper is overflowing with SHIT.

Check out pi-hole, faggot. Oh wait, check out pivpn while you're at it too. Actually, just kill yourself while you're at it because I am sick of you.

>One other thing..

Check out the official debian version for the raspberry pi. Raspbian (now called Raspberry Pi OS) is based off of this, and includes a lot of extra stuff that you may not need. It's available at:
