That's the entire reason alt imageboards exist. They're too many of them though, of which spreads traffic too thin to have any real sense of having a social life (they entire point of such a site is a chat roulette tier experience) and they themselves, alternative imageboards, ban people that they personally do not like without regard to any real set of rules. Social networking websites need traffic to converse about things, the lounge is the most important thing and not the specific things that alts pretend to be about. Segregation by compatible personality type is often a supposed goal but it is also an inane one as many people of various personalities and agendas will like the same topic and thus hate one another anyway.
