Loosh is a term coined by Robert Monroe, founder of the Monroe Institute, to describe emotional or life force energy produced by humans and animals. It is considered a form of spiritual or energetic sustenance that can be used for creation or harvested by higher-dimensional entities.
Origin: Monroe introduced the concept in his book Far Journeys, based on out-of-body experiences where a light being described the universe as a "garden" cultivated by beings who harvest loosh from life force, especially during suffering, conflict, and intense emotions.
Nature of Loosh: It is not inherently negative. Loosh includes all emotions—joy, love, fear, pain, and loneliness—as energy in motion. Positive emotions generate "positive loosh," while intense negative emotions produce "negative loosh."
Harvesting: Some esoteric theories suggest that higher-dimensional entities, astral beings, or secret societies (referred to as "cabals" or "Archons") collect loosh, particularly from trauma, fear, and suffering, using it as a form of sustenance.
Metaphor: The idea of "loosh farming" compares humanity to livestock raised for energy—where emotional and psychological stress (e.g., war, poverty, fear-based media) is deliberately amplified to maximize loosh production.
Conscious Use: According to modern interpretations, loosh can be consciously directed—used for personal creation, healing, or spiritual growth—rather than being passively harvested. When aligned with love and intention, loosh becomes "manifestation manna" or creative life force.
While not scientifically proven, loosh is a widely discussed concept in spiritual, metaphysical, and New Age communities, often linked to ideas of consciousness, energy, and cosmic purpose.
