You do realize if the Feds really want to find you, using a public wifi is absolutely pointless? You aren't harder to trace just because you use a public wifi. Your porn downloads/uploads aren't harder to trace because you use a public wifi. The FBI can use triangulation to trace a connection back to its original source. You might as well just use your home wifi which is not less unsafe than using a public wifi.

In short, using your home wifi is just as safe as using a public wifi. You are not unsafe using your home wifi. Using a public wifi does not increase your safety.
