Like I said, I have a subgroup of Friends that all grew up together, and they were all brilliant programmers.
I'm talking about some smart as fuck dudes here...
they would never ever NEVER call themselves "hackers"... never
according to them, that's the first sign of a pretentious amateur
but here's a true story:
these guys had a scam going many many years ago, in which they created fake people, all of the credentials, and created fake bank accounts, somehow they got in the system and created a bunch of fake bank accounts....
I don't know all of the exact details..
I've heard the story many times
But I can't remember all the minutiae
anyway, they would create identification for these fake people, and pay people to go into the bank with the identification and withdraw large sums of money.
they had managed to hack the banks and literally create money for themselves.
they were making a SHITLOAD.........
And they were all young, like 19 or 20 years old, raking in a shitload of money..
One of them (One of my best friends of my entire life) had a mother with a very unique connection to Sicilian organized crime.
I'll leave it at that...
she's dead now... she passed away...
But she was VERY powerful in the Sicilian organized crime scene... Long story. That was his mother...
anyway... they eventually got busted
The FBI....
the Atlanta Field office of the FBI arrested them.
and offered them all a deal:
teach our agents how you got away with it, and we won't prosecute
So that's exactly what they did
My buddies ended up teaching some young recruits at the Atlanta FBI field office in a computer crime training setting, and earned their freedom...
This guy's going to get busted, and I think it's going to be hilarious when he settles for a plea bargain. does not going to be any FDI agents asking this douchebag to teach them how he did it lol
