The biggest problem we have in life is not learning the truth, but remembering to remember it.

In the past 4 weeks I've watched my roommate go from having $0 to spare every week to having $20,000 coming in off a spontaneous land sale, and another $13,000 to borrow off that, available almost immediately, by moving a 401(k) to an IRA. It means a new roof for the house … new cabinets (I will make them), a new fridge, a new radiator/fans for my car, etc.

What happened?

There is no shortage of people planning in the world. How much money is paid out every year to people planning our finances, our meals, our businesses, our retirement, our lives? And people have major problems all over.

Who isn't having problems? Look at individual cases. Like my roommate.

What changed in the past few weeks?

She got out of emergency mode. She began devoting long hours to doing yard work every weekend. It isn't about the yard work. It's about how the results elevate her life condition. It makes her incredibly happy to have that result. I've commented many times over the past few weeks that I have never before seen her stay focused on one thing for so long, so consistently. Weekend after weekend. Nobody has to push her. She loves it. She gets out there and does it.

Universal law: outer reflects inner. Want a happy world? Get happy inside. You personally will experience exactly the world outside yourself that reflects what's inside you. That's the law. There is no overriding it.

Most people turn to manipulation - bullying, stealing, leveraging control - to solve their financial woes and even when they get the money, they are miserable.

It's a simple formula. Start with what irritates you. The ceiling fan that needs dusting. Cleaning that needs to be done. Minor repairs that need to be done. Get up and get them done. Eliminate things that drag down your overall life condition, even a little. Depressed because you want to lose weight? Get on track. Start walking. Do SOMETHING. Start eroding the problems down to nothing.

I could write a novel citing cases from my own life where impossible miracles fell from the sky because I made a choice to start cleaning up what problems I could, and spend time doing what I love to do. No more "as soon as." No more "when the time is right." I had no computer when I started my first program. So I started doing it on notebook paper in 1984 with a bunch of colored Uniball pens. It was so cool to be doing something to move forward. I was no longer stopped cold. No more "someday." No more "when conditions are right." It became "now." And it felt wonderful. It didn't matter that I was only moving forward at 1 mph. I was no longer stopped cold. And within 24 hours a miracle job that could not exist fell into my lap from the sky - coming from a temp service that could not possibly have had my phone number, let alone known I was looking for a job.

Just one example. There are many.

Do what you can, where you're at, with what you've got.

It isn't cheerleading. It is universal law. It is unstoppable. It is the ultimate way forward for any goal you could possibly have. It will take you 100% of the way there.

I'll be posting the causes - my choices - and how they manifest over time. You'll see the changes hitting.

I'm starting today with my irritation list. What drags down the condition of my life? All the dust and grunge on the ceiling fan. All the clutter in the room because the house is so small, there's nowhere to put anything. I'm getting busy tackling it - not as a gargantuan project but just a piece here, a piece there. Where I can sit down and say "now things are just a little better."

Eliminate what drags you down - those things that exist only because of your own choice not to act (i.e. choosing day after day not to clean the ceiling fan) and simultaneously build what energizes you and makes you full of pure joy.

The results will build and build over the coming weeks and months. Hopefully I will inspire others to follow suit.

I'm pretty much going to go with this, simply because I love the idea of links instead of listing the same thing that the link displays. It makes things nice and compact. Much cleaner and much easier to make a new bread. The rationale is very sound as well: we will never be about any one thing in here. We move around a lot.

Puppy Anon: I have to make her actual dinner. Ground beef (3 pounds; 1.36078 kg; not sure what it's called in your neck of the woods, I've seen "ground mince" which made us LAUGH because we have never heard it before!), 4 eggs cooked before they're mixed in, 2 cups of rice before cooking, 8 oz. each of peas, carrots, green beans. It's all blended and food-processor-ized and it takes about 90 minutes to do cleanup and cook a batch which lasts about 9 days. When I make it myself I know what she's getting. Mix in the liposomal vitamin C every night and she's all set! I haven't actually had to feed her by hand except for that one batch because I put too much water in the rice when I cooked it and it came out like a sticky paste that stuck to the plate.

Actually we don't know AT ALL what this is all about. Beyond the Deep State being into their Satanism. At the moment we are in a severe period of belief restructuring anyway and it is not easy. There are no clear cut answers and the going gets more difficult by the day. Everybody providing info may or may not have an agenda that benefits them personally. And establishing 2-way communications ranges from near-impossible to outright impossible. We don't get to ask many questions so it makes figuring out who to believe a thousand times more difficult than it ever needs to be.

As for religion, I can only speak for myself personally. There is no board policy regarding it, beyond not turning this board into an evangelical platform. No matter how strong one's belief, every religion is man made and I personally take very strong issue with people putting something forth as fact when in reality it is nothing more than a belief that fits comfortably into their current world paradigm. Ideally religion on this board is more or less restricted to relevant historical context, or to the impact it might have on directing high-up good guys or bad guys. It's simply not the focus of the board and most of us are not here for it, for its own sake.

I'm finding that there is no salvation, solution, or stability outside my own personal microcosm.
