Imagine a grandmother from Fire Island, New York, who lives on a limited income and has to deal with all the issues associated with that situation. Imagine she is intelligent, wise from age and supremely motivated to add to the greatness of our nation by running for public office. By today's standards, her chances of winning election are about as likely as a Radio Flyer™ wagon has of winning the Indianapolis 500. She will be competing against campaign money raised by special interest groups, corporate donations and other funding sources available to the incumbent that simply don't exist for her.
Imagine a farmer in Iowa, who decides (in the tradition of Mr. Smith Goes to Washington) he could help out his constituents by representing them in public office. By today's standards, his chances of winning election are likely no greater than an ice cube's chance on the surface of the sun. He, too, will be up against "the campaign machine". More often than not, it's all about money or power and the average farmer is simply not in the league of most politicians when it comes to campaign funding resources to achieve those goodies. Fortunately for Iowans, he is well-versed in hardship, how to live off the land and how to produce product right here in the United States. Unfortunately for Iowans, that and a quarter will get you a piece of bubble gum—for now, anyway.
You and I both know these examples could go on, ad infinitum. These well-meaning citizens are effectively shut-out of the democratic process by their lack of money. What we get, in return, are politicians that may be well-meaning but are not driven to help their fellow citizen by passion for equality and doing what is right. Instead, we get the politician that is all about making money—all about power and control.
So how do we rectify this? How about this for starters:
1. Every dime of campaign money—whether raised by an incumbent fat cat or an average Joe, should go into the same campaign fund and be equally divided between those running for office. Watch how that knocks some of sparkle off the crystal.
2. Whoever wins a campaign should make no more in salary than the average salary for their constituency. In essence, we look at the scope of average income for the area the winner will be representing and cap the winner's salary accordingly. Believe me, that alone will cause politicians with monetary agendas to fly the coop and find their desired riches in another walk of Life.
3. The winner of a campaign should not be allowed to financially benefit in any way through the power of his or her office. This means no more voting on their own raises, no more separate-from-America-sweet-deal-healthcare, no more obvious graft hidden by contributions and no more privileges than the average citizen would expect in daily life.
4. Abolish lobbying altogether. Lobbying is no more than legalized bribery. It allows a politician to receive and steer money to pet projects, their pockets included, while backing off and saying, "That money was used in the normal business of running my office".
With at least these requirements in place, a new possibility will exist for the manning of Public office. For the first time in recent history, people like the grandmother in New York and the farmer in Iowa will take office, driven solely by their zeal to help their fellow citizens. The above restrictions will not be a hindrance to them because they are not really losing anything. Their passion will drive their convictions and political positions will be populated by people who care more about the citizenry than lining their pockets or wielding power.

The official story is that the October 30, 1938 radio broadcast of H.G. Wells' "War of the Worlds" just happened to occur outside of Princeton and Cantril and associates took the opportunity to do an
extensive study of people's responses and to write a book and do studies on the event. At the time, it was the largest mass persuasion event in human history.
In 1940 Cantril wrote "The Invasion From Mars: A Study in the Psychology of Panic".The Rockefeller Foundation was especially interested in manipulating public opinion during wartime. Their 1939 report said: “The war in Europe has given this country an unusual opportunity for studying the development of public opinion, the changes which opinion undergoes under varying conditions, and the reasons for change.”
and that the project: "would supply essential facts on the formation and trend of opinion from peace to war time and from one stage to another under the force of successive war crises. It is expected that further analysis of the data will demonstrate the influence of such factors as family relationship, educational experience, and occupation; the group origins of reported intensity of opinion or apparent lack of it on many issues"
They helped guide American public opinion as America joined World War II in 1941. Rockefeller was moving their banking and oil interests into South America and were excited about using the new "soft power" of psychological operations to monitor and shape public opinion there. They funded Cantril and George Gallup to create "American Social Surveys" to assess public opinion in South
America. They did the same in the US. and Roosevelt used Cantril's findings to craft his speeches during the war. They also did projects with the Psychological Warfare Branch of Military Intelligence in North Africa, the Department of State on US attitudes toward foreign affairs, and the Office of Strategic Services on German public opinion. Over time, the Rockefellers especially but many other groups funded ever more sophisticated public opinion monitoring and manipulation techniques and used them for both business and politics.

The U.S. Air Force is on track to test its first airborne laser weapons by 2021. Lasers attached to fighter jets, drones, or even cargo planes will attack targets on the ground and in the air at the speed of light, making the assaults nearly impossible for enemy forces to dodge.

This is a summary report on those elements of that clandestine organizational network, (which we shall label the Shadow Government), which serves as a kind of "parallel government" to the official elected and appointed government of this country. It includes those elements known to the author with sufficient certainty that they can be positively identified, and their known or reliably reported functions described. It is distinctly possible that there are other elements, (particularly in the realms of the "Black Budget" and "Special Operations",) which have eluded our study, and are not named here.
Just as with the official government, the Shadow Government has functional branches. However, unlike the official government, the purpose of the none-executive branches of the Shadow Government is simply to distribute various functions, but not to achieve a system of checks and balances, as was supposed to happen constitutionally between the executive, legislative and judicial branches of the U.S. Government. That is because the Shadow Government is a creature of a powerful elite, who need not fear being dominated by an instrument of their own creation.
In the Shadow Government five branches may be identified. These branches are: the Executive Branch, the Intelligence Branch, the War Department, the Weapons Industry Branch, and the Financial Department.
The reporting lines of the Intelligence Branch and the War Department to the Executive Branch are straightforward and obvious. Intelligence exists to provide the Executive Branch with sufficient necessary information to make adequately informed policy decisions. The War Department exists to provide coercive force to carry out Executive policy decisions which could meet with public resistance. The Special Operations units within the Intelligence Branch and War Department exist to carry out policy directives requiring covert action and official deniability.

According to a new report, China may have beaten the U.S. to mounting a railgun on a ship.
A naval vessel called the Haiyangshan, carrying what appears to be a railgun on the bow, allegedly left the confines of the Yangtze River and is being tested on the Pacific Ocean. First spotted in January of 2018, the railgun appears to be the first put on a warship by any country—the United States included. Whether or not China is actually ahead of the U.S. in the world of railgun tech is an open question.
The Haiyangshan, a Yuting I-class tank landing ship, resurfaced on social media December 29. Its location is unknown, but believed to be on the open ocean, though the heavily overcast background makes it impossible to geolocate the ship.
Photographs of what was dubbed the “Yangtze River Monster” first emerged in late January 2018. The photos showed Haiyangshan with a large gun turret on the bow, with the rest of the ship covered shipping containers, tarps, and miscellaneous equipment. The 390-foot-long ship is an older tank-landing ship, designed to run up on enemy coastlines and disgorge 10 tanks or 500 tons of cargo.

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is looking for someone to develop a new autonomous underwater drone that can manipulate objects on the seabed floor, all without input from a human operator. The so-called "Angler" drone could be useful for all sorts of tasks, from tapping underwater communications cables to salvaging missile debris.

Per the solicitation:
This robotic system, herein referred to simply as “Angler”, will operate autonomously and without external communication, to navigate, search, localize, and physically manipulate objects on or near the seabed, using an onboard sensor suite to self-localize, avoid obstacles, manage interaction with the seabed environment, and fulfill manipulation mission objectives. In addition to these navigation and positioning challenges, the robot will be able to perform these search and manipulation objectives autonomously, even in dark, turbulent, and semi-opaque sea conditions.
A lot of factors make autonomous underwater systems tricky to put into practice. The Angler drone will travel closer to the seafloor than aerial drones travel to the ground, making navigation much more hazardous. Water clarity can range from glass-clear to extremely turbid, with visibility sometimes in the inches. GPS and other navigational aids are often severely degraded or unavailable underwater.
The U.S. military has a long history of working on the seafloor, including tapping Soviet communications cables during the Cold War, raising sunken submarines, recovering crashed aircraft, placing sea mines, and other tasks—many sensitive or even secret. A drone like Angler could be sent to the ocean floor to pick up missile debris off the coast of North Korea, giving intelligence analysts a glimpse into the design, construction, and materials used in the missile. A drone could even help locate and identify or salvage crashed airplanes and ships.
DARPA anticipates multiple contractors will want to compete for the Angler program, and will select more than one to compete in a drone-off, with one design eventually selected to fulfill the program.

I've been to/through Denver a few times, but only once by plane back in the 90's.
It just so happened that when leaving I was on one of the last departing planes out of Stapleton (old airport).
So, I missed out on using the new airport by like a day or 2 tops.
I do have a memory of talking to the cabbie taking me from downtown to Stapleton.
He said he loved the new one because it meant more $ for him since the new one was out in the boonies.
But, all the locals were pissed about it since it was so far out from what they were used to.

Shadow Control
The problem with secret government is that to remain secret, it cannot involve too many people who are aware of the situation. The more that become involved, the greater the chance that some of them who retain some sense of honor might defect. An occasional defector can be disabled, killed or discredited, but a flood of them could be disastrous. That is what brought down the Bolshevik regime in the Soviet Union.
Shadow control therefore consists largely of the placement of shadow agents in key positions in all of the institutions that are to be controlled. Since they cannot reveal their true role, they are also somewhat constrained in the actions they can take. What they do has to fit their jobs and not conflict in an obvious way with the mission of the organization, even if they head it. Some of the main targeted institutions are the following:
(1) Top and key lower positions in the executive, legislative, and judicial branches. Key judges, especially presiding judges who assign cases.
(2) Staff positions under the top positions, such as the congressional staff members who really run Congress.

Paul Manafort's day of reckoning has finally arrived.
Months after Special Counsel Robert Mueller that Manafort had violated his plea agreement with federal prosecutors by allegedly lying about a promise to share campaign info with a purported Russian operative. For his crimes, Mueller insisted that Manafort be sentenced as soon as possible, and after a brief delay, US District Judge T.S. Ellis is expected to hand down Manafort's sentence on Thursday, possibly delivering what could be an effective life sentence for the former Trump campaign manager. Though Mueller hasn't recommended a specific sentence, federal guidelines recommend a prison term of between 19.5 and 24 years for Manafort.
The charges for which Manafort will be sentenced on Thursday include eight counts of bank fraud and other crimes for which he was convicted after an August trial, Reuters reported.
Defense lawyers have asked the judge to sentence Manafort to beetween 4-1/4 and 5-1/4 years in prison, and are expected to tell the judge that their client is remorseful and that the sentencing guidelines cited by prosecutors call for a prison term disproportionate to the offenses committed.
"The Special Counsel’s attempt to vilify Mr. Manafort as a lifelong and irredeemable felon is beyond the pale and grossly overstates the facts before this court," Manafort's lawyers wrote in a sentencing memo.
As one Twitter commentator pointed out, should he receive anything close to the maximum sentence, 69-year-old Manafort would very likely die in prison.

Together, they control the National Election Service, which in turn controls the outcome of computerized elections.<9> They suppress coverage of certain subjects, and are the channel for the Shadow Government's propaganda and disinformation campaigns. A major part of the budget of the CIA is for film and video production. They aren't making training films.
(7) Communications networks. Telephone, telegraph, cable and satellite. The Shadow Government can bug any communication they wish, without bothering with a court order, and they regularly monitor dissidents and other key figures. Major holes in their control here are the Internet and public-key encryption, which the Shadow Government is trying to suppress. Although the Internet can be monitored, it cannot be effectively controlled, and it is emerging as a major threat to Shadow control.
(8) Organized crime. Despite occasional convictions, they are now mostly treated as a profit center and as the executors of the dirty jobs. They are also the providers of vices for the corrupt members of government, which vices are also used to blackmail and control people.
(9) Education. Universities and public education. Universities are the least effectively controlled components, but still important, largely for recruitment. Main aim here is to divert student activists into unproductive channels, or to get students so involved in careerism that they ignore the important issues.
(10) Civic, political, and labor organizations. The two major political parties. Political action committees. League of Women Voters. Trade and professional associations, such as the American Bar Association and the American Medical Association. Labor unions.

Concentration of Power
A major aim of Shadow Government control has been to bring most of the assets and revenues of the economy under the control of fewer and fewer people. Anti-trust enforcement has been weak, used only in a few sectors, and then only after major concentrations of economic power has already been achieved.
The process goes beyond normal tendencies toward monopoly or restraint of trade, or the economies of scale that support the old adage that "the rich get richer". It is an attempt to consolidate political control. The result has been for a smaller and smaller proportion of the population to control a larger and larger proportion of the assets and revenues of the economy, while the middle class shrinks. We are moving away from the original model of the universal middle class, and toward a third-world model of a small upper class and a large poor class, with a small middle class that mainly serve as minions of the rich.
The Shadow Plan
The Shadow Government appears to be operating according to some plan. Many commentators have dubbed this plan the "New World Order", suggested by the use of that phrase in a speech by George Bush, referring to the state of affairs following the end of the Cold War. Actually, that phrase goes back to the beginning of the Republic, and appears on the Great Seal of the United States as the motto, Novus Ordo Seclorum. What the Shadow Government itself calls the plan is uncertain, however, some of its elements are now emerging.

A key part of the plan seems to involve the development and use of mind control techno logies, both electronic and chemical, which allow the elite to disable or discredit dissidents and keep the people compliant and productive. The experimentation that has been done on this is one of the great coverups and abuses of human rights of our time, far exceeding that of the radiation experiments that are now coming to light.<11>
Restoring Constitutional Governance
The restoration of constitutional governance need not require a violent revolution, and we should avoid violence if possible. It can be brought about in much the way it happened in the Soviet Union. This involves several elements:
(1) Exposure ("glasnost"). The Shadow Government, even more than the old Soviet regime, depends on secrecy. Uncover it and it loses most of its power. We need to end black budgets, require the declassification of most classified documents, especially those pertaining to UFOs and aliens, and adopt and enforce sunshine laws to require full disclosure of not just meetings and agreements among officials, but also among major organizations of all kinds which may exercise an undue influence on political decisions. We must also require independent audits of all such organizations.
(2) Restructuring ("perestroika"). We need to enforce strengthened anti-trust laws to break up large enterprises into many competing firms, not just two or three, and forbid interlocking directorates, beginning with the broadcast media and the press. Intelligence and law enforcement agencies need to be broken up into several competing ones, which can serve as effective checks on abuses by one another.
(2) Infiltration and defection. We need to get patriots inside key organizations and encourage insiders to become patriots. The most important are military and law enforcement organizations, whose members must be conditioned to come over to the side of the people if there is a confrontation. We must also provide effective protection for whistleblowers.
(3) Harassment. Lawsuits. Liens. Freedom of Information Act requests. Surveillance of principals. Local prosecution of federal agents.
(4) Local organization and publicity. Revive the constitutional Militia on the Swiss model<12>, set up independent investigation teams, alternative newspapers, talk radio, alert networks. We need to inform the public on what is happening, and to reach those who now are all too willing to trust the government to protect them.
(5) Civil disobedience and nonviolent resistance. Protest demonstrations. Tax protests. Defiance of unconstitutional laws. Refusal of juries to convict.<13>
(6) Armed resistance. This must involve non- provocative, but firm, defense of persons from illegal abuses, and exclusion of illegal governmental actions from local areas, county by county, state by state, with insistence on constitutional compliance.
(7) Transition plan. The oligarchy cannot be expected to come up with a plan for an orderly return to constitutional governance. The process must be conducted carefully, to avoid a disastrous collapse.<14> We will need some constitutional amendments, to make legal some of the things the national government can do best. The government needs to end budget deficits and acquire the stock of the Federal Reserve.<15>
