Last Friday, Northam’s 1984 medical school yearbook entry went viral because it featured an image of a man in blackface with a man in a KKK hood and robe. The Democrat initially accepted responsibility and offered an apology. He then reversed course and claimed he did believe that the controversial image featured him at all. And during a press conference, he did admit to using blackface while dressing up as Michael Jackson.
On the Today Show, co-host Craig Melvin asked the panel why blackface seems “all of a sudden front and center in America again?”
Princeton University Professor Eddie Glaude Jr. responded by tying Northam’s scandal to the president.
“I think it has something to do with what Donald Trump has unleashed. It has something to do with the reservoir that’s underneath our politics that can always be activated at any moment,” Glaude Jr. explained. “So it’s not like it’s something new has happened. It’s always underneath. It’s the undertow.”
MSNBC political analyst Zerlina Maxwell agreed with the Princeton professor.

Fellow anon, I had the same thing happen to me. I have photos. Not the same car, but tinted windows and Alabama plates. The guy stood outside a dressing room waiting with his phone. Followed me outside with his phone. I have video of him. I pulled up next to his vehicle. You could see the

Sanders sent the letter to Catalyst Pharmaceuticals on Monday, in which he asked it to explain both the financial and non-financial factors the company considered when it set the list price for Firdapse in December.
The drug is used to treat Lambert-Eaton Myasthenic Syndrome (LEMS), a rare neuromuscular disorder, according to the letter dated February 4.
The disorder affects about one in 100,000 people in the United State
Catalyst's decision to set the annual list price at $375,000 is not only a blatant fleecing of American taxpayers, but is also an immoral exploitation of patients who need this medication,' Sanders wrote in his letter.
He doubled-down his message yesterday on Twitter, writing: 'Catalyst Pharmaceuticals raised the price of a life-saving drug from $0 to $375,000. Now patients are worried they are going to suffer or even die because of the greed of a drug company.
If Catalyst does not substantially lower the price of this medication, Congress must act.'
The government is intensifying its scrutiny of the pharmaceutical industry and rising prescription drug prices, a top voter concern and a priority of President Donald Trump's administration.
Both the Democratic-led U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate, controlled by Republicans, have begun holding hearings this year on the rising costs of medicines. Sanders is an independent who usually votes with Democrats.
Sanders also asked for the number of patients who would suffer or die as a result of the price, as well as information on how much Catalyst was paying to purchase or produce the drug.
Catalyst declined to comment on Sanders' letter but its shares fell nearly 8 percent to $2.31.
For years, patients have been able to get the same drug for free from Jacobus Pharmaceuticals, a small New Jersey-based drug company, which offered it through a U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) program called 'compassionate use.'
The program allows patients with rare diseases and conditions access to experimental drugs outside of a clinical trial when there is no viable alternative.
Florida-based Catalyst received FDA approval of Firdapse in November, along with exclusive rights to market the medication until 2025.
The company, which bought rights to the drug from a company called BioMarin in 2012, develops and commercializes drugs for rare diseases.
BioMarin and FDA did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Sanders joins other U.S. lawmakers in investigating the pricing practices of pharmaceutical companies this year.
Democratic Representative Elijah Cummings, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, in January wrote to 12 pharmaceutical firms asking for detailed information on how they set drug prices.
Democratic Representatives Frank Pallone and Diana DeGette wrote to the heads of Eli Lilly and Co, Novo Nordisk and Sanofi SA, the long-time leading manufacturers of insulin, requesting information on why the drug's price has skyrocketed in recent years.

President Trump's inaugural committee has received a subpoena from Justice Department investigators. The subpoena reportedly orders the committee to hand over a wide-ranging collection of documents related to how it was funded and by whom.
The investigation is separate from the probe being conducted by special counsel Robert Mueller into the Trump campaign's possible ties with Russia, which has resulted in several indictments and guilty pleas. Federal election law prohibits foreign nationals from donating money to an inaugural committee.
The documents are being requested by the Manhattan U.S. attorney's office, which opened its criminal investigation into the inaugural committee in December, The Wall Street Journal reported at the time.
The Journal found that prosecutors were looking at how the committee spent its money, who funded it, and whether those funders got anything improper in return. The inaugural committee raised a record $107 million in donations.
Monday's subpoena also seeks "communications about payments made directly by donors to vendors — which would flout disclosure rules," the Journal reported. Prosecutors are particularly interested in documents related to "a Los Angeles financier who gave $900,000 to the committee through his private-equity firm and once registered as a foreign agent working on behalf of the Sri Lankan government."
That man, Imaad Zuberi, was the only individual named as part of the request for documents, according to The New York Times. Zuberi, who had raised money for President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, was reportedly trying to develop a relationship with Trump.
Prosecutors are also requesting information about who attended inaugural events and whether they were promised photo ops with the president-elect, ABC News reports.

I looked at the mentions of my editors, who had been laid off after years at HuffPost, and of other journalists who had lost their jobs. There they were, the swarm of commentators, with their same little carbuncular message: “Learn to code.”
On its own, telling a laid-off journalist to “learn to code” is a profoundly annoying bit of “advice,” a nugget of condescension and antipathy. It’s also a line many of us may have already heard from relatives who pretend to be well-meaning, and who question an idealistic, unstable, and impecunious career choice. But it was clear from the outset that this “advice” was larded through with real hostility—and the timing and ubiquity of the same phrase made me immediately suspect a brigade attack. My suspicions were confirmed when conservative figures like Tucker Carlson and Donald Trump Jr. joined the pile-on, revealing the ways in which right-wing hordes have harnessed social media to discredit and harass their opponents.
What’s a brigade attack, you may ask? It’s a rather dramatic name for coordinated harassment, usually migrating from one social media site to another. Often hatched in the internet’s right-wing cesspools, these campaigns unleash a mass of harassment on unsuspecting targets. 4chan’s /pol/ board—a gathering-place for people who want to say the n-word freely, vilify feminists, and opine on nefarious Jewish influence—has an oversize role in organizing brigade attacks, in part due to the fact that all its users are anonymous.
While it’s difficult to trace the origins of brigading—like most of internet history, its beginnings are ephemeral—the term, and its tactics, came to new prominence during the loosely organized and militantly misogynist harassment campaign known now as GamerGate, which unfolded over the course of 2014 and 2015.
“I think brigading has always been around,” said Caroline Sinders, a design and research fellow with the digital program at Harvard’s Kennedy School, who received enormous volumes of harassment during GamerGate. “I think of it like ‘campaigning’—it’s coordinated, it’s planned, it’s designed. Brigading is like targeting a victim and planning a course of attack—from overwhelming their mentions, flooding a hashtag, to SEO bombing.”
After Sinders wrote about GamerGate harassment online, a SWAT team was called to her mother’s house—a malevolent kind of “prank” that has resulted in at least one death.
Shireen Mitchell, founder of the project Stop Online Violence Against Women, had a similar experience during GamerGate. A campaign originating on Reddit targeted a South by Southwest panel on online harassment at which Mitchell was scheduled to speak. I've been thinking about "timing" and about "direction" and came upon the following:
Using the info about the navigation lights, and concluding that the published image is a mirror of the original, can we deduce the direction of flight that was captured? The timing, also?
Note the sun on the horizon in the published image. It appears on would be the port or left side of the pilots. If mirrored, that would actually be their starboard or right side.
1) Airforce Times caption: Two U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle aircraft fly over northern Iraq.
2) The Atlantic caption: A pair of U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagles fly over northern Iraq after conducting airstrikes in Syria on September 23, 2014.
The latter caption says it was a return trip from Syria to Iraq. Both say the jets were over northern Iraq.
Was the image of a return trip? If flying northward from Syria, then, the jets flew northeast generally. Where would the sun appear?
If the mission was concluded in the twilight of dawn, then, the sun would be seen rising in the east. That would be the right side of the pilots.
But if the mission was concluded before sunset, then, the sun would be seen setting in the west. The sun during dusk would appear on the left side of the pilots.
Think Mirror. Graphic editors will flip images to suite the design elements of a page or spread. On the most basic level, the mirrored image may signify nothing more than that. Most readers would be unaware of such a flip.
However, if there is additional meaning,would it not be in the context of Dark to Light? That is, traveling during the twilight of dawn. The original image would match that meaning – sun rising in the east.
The mirrored image might fit the linear thinking of a typical reader, such as myself, who would see the jets heading across the page, left to right, and think east to west, Syria to Iraq. And not notice the navigation lights. Something akin to confirmation bias.
Q has advised us to question everything. So we are no longer among "most readers", right?
Upon reflection (pun intended), or as Q has advised, Think Direction (Q 128), the sun in the mirrored published image appears to be on the pilot's left side, or port side, and that would mean the jets flew north during the twilight of the setting sun in the west. That would mean Light to Dark.
Now, on night shift an Anon noticed the details of the navigation lights and has corrected the typical viewer's first or even subliminal impression. We see the mirrored image. The photographer happened to be on the port side of the jets so the rising sun was in the background on the eastern horizon. Dark to Light.
Yet there is a double meaning. Dark to Light, yes, but given the mirrored image, also heading into battle rather than returning home.
The pic may help in re-visualizing direction, timing, and meaning. However, it may not help with the headache that may come on as you go through the twists and turns of changing what you have already seen and may not have questioned. Kek.

He quickly — and rightly — apologized after he was slammed for intolerance. You can reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, but if you choose your patrons based on their politics, you deserve to go under.
(If I owned a restaurant, I wouldn’t toss you out if you wore a MAGA hat to dinner, although I do think hats at the table are extremely rude.)
When Nick Sandmann, a Kentucky high school student, wore a MAGA hat as he engaged in what appeared to be a staring contest with Nathan Phillips, a Native American man, the image came across as disrespectful at best, and racist at worst. The resulting analysis of the event has taken on a Rorschach-like quality: You see what you want to see. But without that hat, the story would not have blown up.
MAGA hats simply don’t mean anything outside their implicit political message: The past was better because the country was whiter.
I look forward to the day they are consigned to the same historical fate as Confederate flags.

The total number of satellites that is expected to be put into low and high orbit by several companies will be 20,000 satellites. [1]
5G will use Phased Array Antennas to shoot Beams of Radiation at Cell Phones
These satellites will use the same type of phased array antennas as will be used by the ground-based 5G systems.
This means that they will send tightly focused beams of intense microwave radiation at each specific 5G device that is on the Earth and each device will send a beam of radiation back to the satellite. [2]
Previous generations of RF cellular communication used large antennas to send a blanket of radiation in all directions. The lower frequencies they used and the broad distribution of microwaves limited the numbers of cellular devices that could connect through an individual tall tower.
The much shorter length microwaves used for 5G will make it possible to use small phased array antennas to send and receive signals.
Phased array antennas consist of clusters of hundreds of tiny antennas that work together to shoot a ray of energy at a target just like a bullet. A cluster of these tiny antennas can be arranged in a 4 inch by 4 inch matrix.
The rays of microwaves they produce will be strong enough to pass through walls and human bodies. If they were not strong enough to do this, then everyone with a 5G smartphone would have to stand outside when using the devices. [2]
Each 5G product will also have multiple phased array antennas which will be used to create a powerful beam of radiation back to the 5G devices mounted on electrical utility poles or toward a specific satellite in space.
These beams of radiation will also need to be strong enough to pass through walls and human flesh such as a hand or head to reach the intended destination. [2]
This means that if you are in a crowded location, such as an airport or on a train, there will be hundreds if not thousands of invisible beams of radiation flying through the environment at the speed of light.
As people move in that environment, their bodies will be penetrated by numerous beams of radiation as they walk or as other people walk around them with their 5G smartphones. [2]

They said in response to my Diamond and Silk photos that they’re “paid for their support”… we all know their support is true, so you know what I did? I posted another photo of them with thumbs up! That made them madder and so I channeled my inner Diamond and Silk and Tripled down like I knew they’d want me to. Slay. Triple Diamond and Silks are the hat trick of this game!
Other responses including their attacking my skin color and that I can’t feel what blacks experience, so I just posted more photos of what appears to be a very real black experience. So, my wife for some reason watches the Wendy Williams show, and I happened to be in the bedroom working on something while it was on and there was a segment called "Jersey Pizza Boys" that featured some VERY blatant Pizzagate reference. In addition to being called Jersey Pizza Boys, the older one had a shirt that said "Big Cheese" and the younger one "Little Cheese". Acting Attorney General Matthew G. Whitaker and Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen M. Nielsen submitted a joint report to President Donald J. Trump on February 4, 2019 evaluating the impact of any foreign interference on election infrastructure or the infrastructure of political organizations, including campaigns and candidates in the 2018-midterm elections.
The classified report was prepared pursuant to section 1(b) of Executive Order 13848, Imposing Certain Sanctions in the Event of Foreign Influence in a United States Election, which the President issued on September 12, 2018.
Throughout the 2018 midterm election cycle, the Departments of Justice and Homeland Security worked closely with federal, state, local, and private sector partners, including all 50 states and more than 1400 local jurisdictions, to support efforts to secure election infrastructure and limit risk posed by foreign interference. Efforts to safeguard the 2020 elections are already underway.
Although the specific conclusions within the joint report must remain classified, the Departments have concluded there is no evidence to date that any identified activities of a foreign government or foreign agent had a material impact on the integrity or security of election infrastructure or political/campaign infrastructure used in the 2018 midterm elections for the United States Congress. This finding was informed by a report prepared by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) pursuant to the same Executive Order and is consistent with what was indicated by the U.S. government after the 2018 elections.
While the report remains classified, its findings will help drive future efforts to protect election and political/campaign infrastructure from foreign interference.
