There is a lot more to this quote than meets the eye. It actually demonstrates a few very sacred keys to unlocking a great deal of other Scripture in the Bible.

One of these concerns the use of names. Jesus has connected Marys past, present and future to him with the same name. This is consistent with the use of names in Scripture, as the names of men that lived in different times (even centuries apart), but had the same name, also seem to represent the same spirit (or the same entity) in the eyes of the Author.

(When we realize this, and come to see it in Scripture, we also realize the "Author" also sees us as eternal beings, by the same token.)

One good example of this is with the name, Saul. It's common knowledge to Bible students that there is a past time and a future time to which the house of David relates. And the story of David and his men coming to power the first time occurred in opposition to the reign of King Saul in the past - but ;ikewise, there is also another power (or metaphysically similar force) represented by the same name that we must overcome in our time as well.

In the New Testament, the name Saul again appears in the entity we all know as Paul. He was initially against the followers of The Way (much as the church is against us today). But then he became Paul and fought for it. So, in the present paradigm, the conversion of Saul to Paul would also represent a force against us that eventually becomes a force for us - again.

The actual time in Scripture when record of this name change occurs is in Acts 8, where Paul sought to speak with the Sergius of Paulus (which means, the leader of the land of Paul, basically), but was prevented by his "right hand man." Paul would then "curse" this guy with blindness and be on his way.

The land of Paul today (in spirit) is the (doctrinal) territory of common Christian leadership (past, but not future leadership). But church leaders (the help) presently have no regard for the sort of truth we all seek and espouse, and they will certainly not hear it from us, likewise. They are even blind to the fact God is with us now, and not them. But it is also the JQ mainly, that makes them blind, on our behalf, to keep them "out of our way." This will also remain the case until they wake up and see they are missing out (when they can see profit in it later on) and they will recant and seek to follow us (instead of the other way around). And at that point, the whole present day "land of Paulus" will come to dwell in the paths (ways and means of reason) we are pioneering for them in the mean time.

But also in the mean time, we are free from them interfering, and as we see how blind they really are to truth and to our goings, we acquire the freedom, inspiration and self-confidence of the name of Paul in our own ranks. And we come all the more to know God is with us now.

But now look at the meaning of the Hebrew behind it, particularly the "call upon" part. The root term here means "to entitle." How is this reconciled? What does it mean to "entitle" the name of the Lord?

Well, consider the names that qualify. There is Truth. There is Salvation. And there are many others He claimed as His names.

So, if we find the ultimate salvation of man, as a political movement, for instance, and call it "salvation," we have "entitled" it with one of His names.

That makes this verse make better sense to the practical thinker. Those that find the real salvation or the ultimate saving truths for man, and regard them with such due respect, these are the ones that can be and are saved. How could anybody else be, unless they at least followed others that did this first - those that reversed the direction of assignment like Jesus did here, and gave due meaning to the things that matter - those that first "called upon the name."
