The Trump administration said Monday two more major pharmacuetical companies will be launching popular medication on the discounted pharmaceutical site TrumpRx.
The White House launched the website in February, which is a government-run, direct-to-consumer portal that is considered instrumental in helping the Trump administration lower prescription drug costs in the U.S.
The companies Abbvie and Genentech are expected to become the 10th and 11th drug-making companies to release their products at a discounted rate on the portal, joining other giants like AstraZeneca, Eli Lilly, Novo Nordisk and Pfizer.
Abbvie will sell its popular medication Humira, which is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, on the site at an 86% discount, according to CBS News. Genentech will sell its flu-prevention drug Xofluza.
The Humira pen is now expected to cost uninsured Americans $950, down from as high as $6,900, and a prescription of Xofluza will cost $50 instead of $168, the outlet reported.
The new additions will bring the total up to 61 drugs that the website now offers at a discounted price. TrumpRx offered discounted prices for 40 of the most popular and expensive medications in the country, including Ozempic and Wegovy, which help treat diabetes, heart disease and obesity, at its launch.

A federal court rejected Minnesota’s attempt to restart Medicaid funding that the Trump administration had halted over concerns people are stealing the money, with the judge saying even the state has acknowledged it has a “serious fraud problem.”
Judge Eric Tostrud, a Trump appointee, said Minnesota may still prevail later in the case, but for now the feds are on relatively solid legal footing in deferring more than $250 million in Medicaid money to prod the state to combat fraud.
“Though Minnesota credibly complains that the federal government’s deferral is historically unprecedented in its size and timing, I conclude on this record that the deferral likely complies with the controlling federal regulations,” the judge wrote.
The ruling is a striking win for President Trump, who had ordered his administration to take steps to punish Minnesota over a series of public benefit scandals, particularly involving the Minneapolis area’s large Somali community.
Vice President J.D. Vance and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Mehmet Oz personally announced the Medicaid money freeze in February.
State Attorney General Keith Ellison then sued to try to keep the money flowing, saying legitimate beneficiaries may be harmed as the state tries to deal with its fraud problem.
Judge Tostrud, though, said the state “shares the blame” for that by allowing fraud, and now pushing strict measures to try to combat it.

IC 4592: The Blue Horsehead Reflection Nebula
Do you see the horse's head? What you are seeing is not the famous Horsehead nebula toward Orion, but rather a fainter nebula that only takes on a familiar form with deeper imaging. The main part of the here-imaged molecular cloud complex is reflection nebula IC 4592. Reflection nebulas are made up of very fine dust that normally appears dark but can look quite blue when reflecting the visible light of energetic nearby stars. In this case, the source of much of the reflected light is a star at the eye of the horse. That star is part of Nu Scorpii, one of the brighter star systems toward the constellation of the Scorpion (Scorpius). A second reflection nebula dubbed IC 4601 is visible surrounding two stars just below the image center. The featured picture was taken from Sawda Natheel in Qatar.

US Strikes Strategic Kharg Island, Bridge Hours Before Trump Deadline

Axios has reported, citing a senior US official, that the American military conducted strikes on military targets on the island.
Explosions have been reported on Kharg Island, an important oil export hub near the Strait of Hormuz, on Tuesday, according to semi-official Iranian news agency Mehr.The strikes come hours before the deadlineset by US President Donald Trump for Tehranto reach a ceasefire dealwith Washington and to open the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the Wall Street Journal, theUS struck more than 50 targets on Kharg Island.
Trump warned that failure to comply will result in a simultaneous,massive bombing campaignaimed at "each and every one" ofIran's electric generating plants and bridges.
Meanwhile, Axios has reported, citing a seniorUS official, that the American military conducted strikes on military targets on the island.
US strikes on Iran's Kharg Islanddo not represent a change in American strategy, US Vice President JDVance saidon Tuesday. A US official separately told Reuters theadditional strikes on military targets did not impact oil infrastructure.
Trump's Kharg Island Threats
Trump has threatened to bomb or seize the island multiple times. On March 30, Trump wrote on Truth Social, "We will conclude our lovely 'stay' in Iran by blowing upand completely obliterating all of their Electric Generating Plants, Oil Wells and Kharg Island (and possibly all desalinization plants!)," he wrote.
Trump had previously signalled the possibility of action against the facility. In comments to the Financial Times, he said, "Maybe we take Kharg Island, maybe we don't.We have a lot of options."
On Monday, Trump said that he was upset with the Iranian government and that they are "going to pay a big price for that."
Israeli Military Strikes Sites In Iran
The Israeli military in a statement saidthat it had completed a broad wave of strikes targeting "infrastructure sites" across Iran on Tuesday. However, it did not provide details of what the sites were.
"A short while ago, the IDF completed a wide-scale wave of strikestargeting dozens of infrastructure sitesbelonging to the Iranian terror regime in several areas across Iran," the military said in a statement.
Kharg Island's Importance
Kharg Islandhandles nearly 90 per cent of Iran's oil exports. Much of the Iranian mainland coastline is too shallow for large tankers, which makes the island essential for the country's energy trade.
The location of theisland, opposite US military bases in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, leaves it exposed in any heightened conflict. The latest strikes follow Iran's decision to close the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's busiest oil transit routes, which has added to the turbulence in energy prices.

A second-alarm, massive fire at an Ontario warehouse drew a large Riverside County mutual aid and fire-fighting presence Tuesday, the Riverside County Fire Department reported.
One person was taken into custody in connection with possible involvement in the fire, Ontario Fire Department Deputy Fire Chief Mike Widdell told reporters at the scene.
Fire crews responded to the Kimberly Clark Warehouse in the 9500 block at the Merrill Avenue at 1:45 a.m. Tuesday and found the approximately 1-million-square-foot warehouse ablaze.
Ontario fire resources needed the assistance from Riverside County fire agencies to battle the immense blaze.
The first-arriving unit reported heavy fire through the roof. Due to the heavy fire conditions, Ontario Fire Department requested a second-alarm augmentation from several outside agencies, including CAL FIRE and Riverside County Fire Dept., which brought in additional mutual aid resources, including 10 engine companies, one truck company, one squad, two battalion chiefs and one division chief, according to the county fire department.
Widdell said 140 fire personnel are battling the flames and fire crews are currently in a defensive fire attack.

NASA Spacecraft Captures Comet Exploding

A large comet has exploded as a result of thermal pressure while passing through the sun's atmosphere, images taken by a NASA spacecraft have revealed.
Comet MAPS, also known as C/2026 A1, was seen flying towards the sun on April 4by the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO)an international project between the ESA and NASA that has been ongoing for more than 30 years.
SOHO takes images of the space around the sun using a "coronagraph," a specialized telescope attachment that blocks out the light coming directly from the sun—essentially creating an artificial eclipse.
In the stunning new footage, Comet MAPS is seen flying into the sun's atmosphere on a course taking it to within just 99,000 miles of the star's surface.
While the comet entered the blind spot in the center of the coronagraph intact, only a shower of debris can be seen coming out from the other side.
The footage also shows a sudden brightening, which may have been the comet's nucleus exploding due to the thermal stress, before the emergence of the dust cloud.
The dust cloud is structured into a spray of narrow bands called "striae"—a common feature that results from high levels of material release from comets.
Comet MAPS was only discovered in January of this year, and while it was too far to confirm its size, experts believed it may have been big enough to eventually be seen in broad daylight.
According to Forbes, experts had believed that the comet might pass within 500,000 miles from the sun's surface, and emerge with a bright shining tail visible from earth.
However, later observations revealed it was in fact smaller than initially though, making it more at risk of being destroyed in its close pass to the sun, and that it was travelling closer to the sun's than initial estimates had predicted.
Some comets that pass this close to the sun become dramatically brighter and visible to the naked eye, however this wasn't the case for MAPS.
There is hope, however, that Comet PanSTARRS, also known as Comet C/2025 R3, could achieve this.
The long-period comet is expected to peak in late April, around 46 million miles from the sun, and will make its closest approach to Earth on April 27 when it will be at its brightest.
It is unclear yet whether Comet PanSTARRS will be visible only via binoculars, or whether stargazers will be able to see the comet unaided in the night sky.
