CAFR-aligned reporting will target cryptocurrency transactions, with traders and exchanges facing penalties for missing information, and consultations on DeFi taxation continue.

The UK government has confirmed that cryptocurrency traders will be required to report personal details to trading platforms from 1 January 2026. The move forms part of the Cryptoasset Reporting Framework (CAFR), aligned with an OECD agreement, and aims to improve compliance with existing tax rules.

Happy New Year, anons!

My resolutions are:

1. Fuck with the system as much as possible by becoming so self sufficient they make almost-to-no taxes off of me the upcoming year and subsequent years. (Already able to do 80% of grocery needs and since losing my job to downsizing, I’ll reclaim some of the tens of thousands of dollars I paid in to support criminal scum).

2. Sell off all unnecessary items, including farmstead; live in used motor home until I find the perfect location which means paying cash (no mortgage). Build a “shack” with no taxable value to the county on the land and do my farming there.

3. Off grid living. No utilities to pay.

4. Enjoy fresh food and revel in the idea I am no longer supporting the criminal enterprise in creating my own demise.

Already mapped out a few ideal locations and putting farm up for sale in the spring. Prices are still stable here so wish me luck and maybe some democrat asshole looking for a place to keep useless horses as a status symbol will pay through the nose.
