Trump announced on Oct. 23 that due to the ad campaign, which he said misrepresented Reagan’s stance on tariffs, all trade negotiations with Canada were “terminated.”

With the current reserve strength standing at 28,000, the Canadian Forces has established a ‘tiger team’ to look at how such a massive influx can be achieved

The Canadian military has set in motion an initiative to increase the number of its part-time soldiers from the current 28,000 to 400,000 as part of an overall mobilization plan, according to a directive approved by senior leaders.

The directive, signed by Chief of the Defence Staff Gen. Jennie Carignan and defence deputy minister Stefanie Beck on May 30, 2025, outlines the need to increase the current reserve force from 23,561 to 100,000 and supplementary and other reserves from the current 4,384 to 300,000.

Beck and Carignan approved the creation of a “tiger team” which will work on setting the stage for a Defence Mobilization Plan or DMP to accomplish such a goal. That team will examine what changes are needed to government legislation to allow for such a massive influx of Canadians into the military.

That’s because both review bodies, as well as the office of the intelligence commissioner, were included in the government’s spending review requiring them to propose ways to cut their spending by 15 per cent from their budgets within three years.

Jonathan Gould, head of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, or OCC, told a conference that supervisors are double-checking banks really did stop blacklisting sectors like firearms from banks, according to Reuters.

Conservative MP Carol Anstey expressed skepticism regarding the 2035 gas vehicle sales ban, citing unsold EVs at dealerships are "tying up investment capital" and jeopardizing dealer viability.

With over $98 billion in combined investments ($46 billion) and taxpayer handouts ($52 billion), 2023 EV sales reached only 11.7% (546,000 EVs), making next year's 20% sales target unrealistic. That excludes costs for EV charging stations and rebates.

Canadian taxpayers are footing a massive and growing bill for the World Health Organization (WHO), according to new figures quietly tabled in Parliament.

A response to Order Paper Question Q-328, filed by Global Affairs Canada and answered November 3, 2025, shows that Canada’s contributions to the WHO have exploded since the pandemic began.

2020: $43 million

2021: $206 million

2022: $122 million

2023: $107 million

2024: $102 million

2025: $83 million (projected)

That’s roughly $663 million in just six years, making the WHO one of the top recipients of Canadian foreign aid.

Officials did not specify what portion of that funding was tied to pandemic recovery, vaccine initiatives, or ongoing membership dues — only that the money was channeled through Canada’s International Assistance Envelope, a $7 billion fund overseen by the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development.

The WHO windfall is part of a wider surge in Ottawa’s support for multilateral institutions:

World Bank: from $3 million in 2020 to $129 million in 2024;

UN core contributions: up from $50 million last year to $135 million;

UNRWA: despite a supposed “pause,” funding has increased to $52 million;

International Organization for Migration: up from $20 million in 2021 to $59 million today.

Buried in the same disclosure, Global Affairs acknowledged that aid distributed through these organizations reached countries under Canadian sanctions, including China ($32 million), Venezuela ($58 million), and Iran ($3.5 million).

The Carney government has defended these ballooning transfers as “global solidarity.”

The Carney government’s much-touted Major Projects Office, born out of Bill C-5, is little more than a line item in the budget with one full-time employee, no contracts, and no permanent office space, according to a Privy Council Office response to Order Paper Question Q-312, released November 3, 2025.

As of September 16, 2025, the “office” consisted of one public servant, a senior adviser (EX-02 level), plus a Governor-in-Council–appointed Chief Executive Officer, Dawn Farrell, named to the role in June. That’s it.

Yet the Carney government has already allocated $19.8 million for fiscal 2025-26 to support the office’s operations, including:

$5.3 million in salaries,

$12.2 million in non-salary spending, and

$2.3 million in benefit, accommodation, and service costs.

The office is supposed to streamline federal approvals for energy and infrastructure projects but as of mid-September, it had no signed contracts, no square footage confirmed, and was still using temporary accommodations while searching for space in Calgary. The Major Projects Office doesn't even have an office.

In other words, Canadian taxpayers are footing a $20-million bill for an “office” with no office and an executive team that could hold a meeting in the back seat of a Prius.

It’s a perfect snapshot of the Carney era: bloated bureaucracy, glossy announcements, and nothing to show for it.

The rot inside Canada’s federal bureaucracy runs deep. A sprawling order paper question (Q-315) has exposed an alarming pattern of criminal and unethical behaviour among public servants — spanning everything from immigration fraud and sexual misconduct to child pornography and theft.

The revelations came through responses tabled by multiple departments, each quietly admitting to cases that would get private-sector employees fired or even jailed.

Instead, in many cases, the government handed out little more than wrist slaps or simple reassignments.

At Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, one employee was caught aiding immigration fraud, while another was implicated in illegal activity abroad; their “discipline” was a reassignment.

At Crown-Indigenous Relations, several serious allegations — including fraud and theft — remain “under investigation” or have yet to be examined at all.

The National Research Council, which is supposed to house some of Canada’s top scientists, reported incidents of child pornography and break and enter that were referred to police.

The Canada Border Services Agency handed out a five-day suspension to an employee who paid for sexual services, while another staffer with known criminal associates was given a written reprimand.

Shared Services Canada admitted that “fewer than 10” employees were working under fake names, all of whom somehow received security clearance.

Even the Privy Council Office, which serves as the prime minister’s own department, confirmed an employee was caught leaking classified information.

And at the Public Prosecution Service of Canada, two employees were caught using illegal drugs in the very office responsible for enforcing federal law.

Perhaps most troubling: across multiple departments, the most common outcome for thieves and fraudsters wasn’t termination or prosecution, it was simply that they “left the department.”

With 2.5 million temporary visas expiring in just seven months, Ottawa admits it doesn’t know how many people actually left or how many stayed to claim asylum.

Canada’s immigration system is bursting at the seams, and the Carney government appears to have lost track of who’s actually in the country.

According to Order Paper Question Q-326, answered on November 3, 2025, by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), more than 1,070 temporary residents whose visas had already expired filed asylum claims between January 1 and July 31, 2025.

During that same period, an astonishing 2,551,055 temporary resident visas expired — covering visitors, students, and foreign workers. That’s over 2.5 million people whose legal status lapsed in just seven months.

The Liberal government says there were about 7 million temporary resident visas currently valid as of August 1, 2025, along with another 11 million electronic travel authorizations (eTAs), for a combined total of nearly 18 million valid temporary entries, more people than Canada’s entire population west of Ontario.

But when it comes to how many expired visa holders actually left Canada, the government punts: that question was “redirected” to the Canada Border Services Agency, which hasn’t provided an answer.

In plain language: the government doesn’t know how many temporary residents overstayed, how many left, or how many are now living here under asylum claims.

Even more troubling, the department admitted the data isn’t centrally tracked and said a full accounting “would require a manual collection of information” that was “not feasible within the time allotted.”

Canada is now issuing millions of temporary permits a year — and with record numbers of expired visas, untracked departures, and expired permit holders claiming asylum, the country’s immigration controls appear to be collapsing under their own weight.

The 2025 report, titled “A Heated Discussion: Who Uses Air Conditioning in Canada,” found that 68% of Canadian households have some kind of cooling system — a four-point increase from 2021.

The survey also broke down results by income, province and whether people rent or own their homes.

Ontario topped the charts, with 83% of households reporting AC access, while British Columbia lagged behind at 45% — likely thanks to its milder climate and sky-high hydro rates.

But the real heat came from Ottawa’s own wallet.

Despite being asked for details, the Industry Department refused to provide a line-by-line accounting of how the $1.5 million was spent, dodging questions on vendor names, contracts or whether the study was outsourced.

There is no obligation to treat non-indigenous members fairly in the management of the transferred money, land, or power.

As I’ve been saying, Cowichan is only the beginning.

We need to immediately suspend all talks with indigenous tribes about transfers of money, land, or power. We need to immediately repeal the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (DRIPA), which directs governments to voluntarily sacrifice provincial sovereignty and resources.

And, ultimately, we need to demand an amendment removing aboriginal title from the constitution, so that the property rights of all Canadians stand on a firm and equal footing.

These land, money, and power grabs in the name of reconciliation are an existential threat to the survival of our province. No matter how well-intended they may have been at first, it is simply not possible to go down this path without bankrupting citizens and shattering the province into dozens of disfunctional ethnostates. Prime Minister Mark Carney’s first budget tabled on Nov. 4 forecasts $2.7 billion in cuts to foreign aid over the next four years.

The budget predicts $561 million in cost reductions next fiscal year for Global Affairs Canada (GAC), rising to $1.1 billion per year of projected savings within two years, saying that Canada’s foreign aid spending will return to pre-COVID levels and focus on “countries that need it the most.”

GAC’s budget for this fiscal year is an estimated $8.1 billion.

The government says it’s returning its funding allocation closer to pre-pandemic levels.

“There will be reductions in development funding to global health programming, where Canada’s contribution has grown disproportionately relative to other similar economies,” the budget reads. “Some bilateral development programs will also be refined and adjusted.”

The government has not said which programs or nations will experience funding cuts, but says efforts will also be made to see how Canadian “contributions can be leveraged further,” along with reducing financial help for some international financial institutions. Continue…

Chrysler is recalling more than 20,000 Jeep vehicles in Canada over concerns of a faulty battery that can catch on fire even when the vehicle is not running.

The recall applies to 20,753 Canadian plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, according to Transport Canada. The vehicles impacted include Jeep Wranglers from 2021 to 2025, and Grand Cherokees from 2022 to 2025. The auto manufacturer said the recall only affects 4xe plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models. The recall was issued in the United States as well, and included 320,065 vehicles.

The recall says the battery pack may have cells with separator damage that can cause the vehicle to catch fire, even while parked and turned off.

Chrysler, owned by Stellantis, has said it is aware of 19 fires in vehicles and one injury connected to the battery pack defect, which includes nine vehicles that had received software updates released to fix the problem. Continue…

This follows Chief of Staff of the French Army Pierre Schill declaring that his country will be ready to deploy troops to Ukraine next year as part of “security guarantees”.

Putin earlier warned that any foreign troops there would be legitimate targets.

Nevertheless, SVR reported in late September that “the first group of career military personnel from France and the United Kingdom has already arrived in Odessa”, yet no crisis followed. The reason might be that neither of them confirmed their forces’ presence there, perhaps for escalation-management purposes, so they and Russia aren’t (yet?) making a big deal about any potential casualties. Funding for The Benefits Delivery Modernization (BDM) Programme was first approved in 2017, with preliminary estimates earmarking the program at $1.75 billion.

While it may seem innovative, these policies often call for the invasive collection of biometric markers, location data, banking information, and vaccination records, laying the groundwork for a surveillance state.

The Department of Employment admits the project is so convoluted that it required hiring external consultants last spring at an undisclosed taxpayer cost.

A 2024 report from the Auditor General found that “it was unclear whether the development of a national approach for validating a person’s identity digitally would proceed and whether the transition to a new federal sign-in system would be funded without presenting an unmanageable financial burden on departments.”

I am writing as the parent of —— ——, a Grade 3 student at —— Elementary, regarding the upcoming Remembrance Day ceremony on November 11th. Ms. ——recently informed me that my daughter ——has been selected to deliver the land acknowledgement at the start of the event.

While I appreciate the school’s efforts to honour this significant day and involve students in meaningful ways, I must respectfully request that she not participate in this portion of the ceremony.

After careful consideration, our family has decided that —— will not be delivering the acknowledgement, and we will be excusing her from school that morning to attend a personal family observance at a local cenotaph.

As a Canadian Armed Forces Veteran who has served our country, and with a family history of military service dating back to the 1700s – long before Canada was a nation – I hold Remembrance Day especially close to my heart.

Many of my ancestors, including my great grandfather – who made the ultimate sacrifice overseas during WW1 and both of my grandfathers who thankfully survived WW2, fought to protect the freedoms we cherish today.

This day, in our view, is sacred in its singular focus: to remember and honour the over 110,000 Canadian soldiers who died in the World Wars, the thousands lost in other conflicts, and the countless veterans who returned bearing the invisible and visible scars of their service.

It is a time to reflect on those who built and defended this land, ensuring its safety for generations, including our own children.

We recognize the importance of cultural education and reconciliation efforts, and Canada thoughtfully designates National Indigenous Peoples’ Day on June 21st and National Truth and Reconciliation Day on September 30th for such observances. These dedicated days allow space for those vital conversations without overshadowing other national commemorations.

On Remembrance Day, however, introducing elements like a land acknowledgement – even with the best intentions – feels like it dilutes the day’s profound purpose.

For families like ours, who have contributed to the very fabric of this nation through generations of service, it can inadvertently suggest that our shared history begins elsewhere, rather than celebrating the collective sacrifices that unite us. Daily land acknowledgements at school, while well-meaning, have also begun to weigh heavily on ——. At just eight years old, she is internalizing messages that frame her – and by extension, her family – as outsiders or “colonizers” on the land her ancestors helped defend and develop. This is not a narrative that aligns with our lived history or values, and it risks eroding her sense of belonging in her own community. We are committed to teaching her about Canada’s diverse histories in age-appropriate, balanced ways, but we believe Remembrance Day should remain untouched by these broader discussions.

On November 11th, instead of the school ceremony, we plan to take —— to the cenotaph to meet with fellow veterans, including a surviving relative who served.

This firsthand experience will help her connect directly with the human stories behind the day, fostering a deep, personal appreciation for sacrifice and service. We hope the school will accommodate this absence without issue, as it aligns with our educational goals for her.

I knew that if I could get close to the main altar and cut left, I could join the line for one of the hourly Masses.

It took about 30 minutes, but I was grateful to make it. When the security guard finally lifted the velvet rope and ushered us inside, I was surprised to see that about 15% of the seats were empty once Mass began.

Countless thousands entered St. Peter’s to admire its beauty, but only a small percentage stayed to worship.

This scene reflects the spiritual condition of Europe today, a continent drifting away from faith, yet still the historic heart of Christianity, both Catholic and Protestant.

Believers from around the world are descending on Rome for the 2025 Jubilee, marking the 2025th anniversary of Christ’s birth.

US Government Revokes 80,000 Visas

The U.S. Department of State said on Nov. 6 that 80,000 visas have been revoked.

President Donald Trump and State Secretary Marco Rubio “will always put the safety and interests of the American people first,” the State Department said in a post on X.

The department said in a follow-up post that visas were revoked for reasons including support for terrorism, “actual terrorism,” criminal activity, public safety threats, and overstays.

The State Department also said that 16,000 visas were revoked in 2025 for driving under the influence of alcohol, 12,000 revoked for assault, and 8,000 revoked for theft. The nonimmigrant visa revocation numbers are from the beginning of this year.

The State Department did not offer more details regarding the revocations. The administration has maintained a conservative stance on approving visas for foreigners and has swiftly canceled visa privileges of temporary residents, including students, based on actions concerning national security.

The aircraft collided with a private home in the southern Republic of Dagestan, according to emergency services

At least four people have been killed and three others injured after a Ka-226 helicopter crashed in the Republic of Dagestan in southern Russia, the local health authorities have said.

Initial reports stated that the helicopter was carrying tourists, although TASS later reported it was transporting employees of the local Kizlyar Electromechanical Plant.

The incident happened midday on Friday near the town of Izberbash, located on the shores of the Caspian Sea, TASS reported.

Two of the injured were rushed to a burn-care center in regional capital Makhachkala, with another passenger, whose condition was described as critical, being taken to a hospital in Izberbash, a representative of the health ministry told RT.

The helicopter hit a private home and completely destroyed it, TASS reported, citing the emergency services. There was nobody inside the building at the time of the incident, it added.

Footage from the scene captured a plume of thick black smoke coming from the crash site.

The reasons for the incident are currently being investigated.

According to the 122 Telegram channel, the ill-fated helicopter was privately owned and used for air tours.

The Kamov Ka-226 is a small, Russian-made twin-engine utility helicopter, which can carry up to seven passengers or cargo weighing up to 1.3 tons. It entered service in 2002.

The Liberal government is putting Farm Credit Canada (FCC) under the microscope again — this time for being “too white.”

A new federal notice obtained by Blacklock's says Ottawa will amend the Farm Credit Canada Act to ensure the Regina-based Crown bank’s lending practices align with “the changing needs” of “traditionally underrepresented groups” — namely, Black, Indigenous, LGBTQ, and women farmers.

“Farm operators are predominantly older white men,” reads a Department of Finance memo announcing the review. The plan would impose mandatory legislative reviews of FCC’s activities to guarantee they are “responsive” to the “specific needs” of “racialized and LGBTQ” entrepreneurs.

No details were provided about who requested the change or what problem the amendment is meant to solve.

According to Statistics Canada’s 2023 Socioeconomic Snapshot, Canada has 590,710 farmers. The typical farmer is male, over 55, and earns a median household income of $95,142. Only 3.7% identify as “from racialized groups,” and 2.8% as Indigenous.

While roughly 4% of Canadians identify as LGBTQ, Statistics Canada did not record how many farmers fall into that category.

This isn’t the first time FCC’s conduct has raised alarms. In 2022, internal emails obtained by Blacklock’s Reporter revealed that FCC managers were secretly flagging clients who opposed Prime Minister Justin Trudeau during the Freedom Convoy protests.

The emails instructed staff to “submit tips” on customers suspected of “support of activity related to the ‘Freedom Convoy’” — effectively blacklisting farmers for political views.

“Any individual or entities found participating in illegal activity under the Act will face appropriate action, including freezing disbursements and terminating business relationships,” one message warned.

The comments came from Liberal-appointed Senator Clément Gignac, who earlier this year was in China attending meetings at which he “stressed the need to view each other as partners, not rivals,” per a report by the Canada-China Legislative Association.

Gignac, who was appointed by Trudeau in 2021, was part of a $42,853 press junket trip to Beijing and Guangzhou along with Canadian diplomats, who attended to “promote friendship and normalization.”

What is interesting is that Gignac’s trip came only a few days before Carney himself admitted that China poses a threat to Canada’s national security.

Gignac served as a former Québec trade minister and National Bank economist. He met with Hao Ping, vice chair of the Chinese Congress’ foreign affairs committee.

Notes from the meeting state that “Hao Ping expressed regret over recent tensions, citing Canada’s past friendship with China,” adding, “He stressed the need to view each other as partners, not rivals, and called for fair and equal treatment.”

Energy Minister Tim Hodgson announced last week, along with G7 partners, new initiatives to secure critical mineral supply chains and reduce dependencies in a market widely dominated by Beijing. Ottawa said these include stockpiling critical minerals to “further safeguard Canada’s national security and sovereignty,” but did not specify which ones.

Quebec-based Nouveau Monde Graphite, with which Ottawa entered an offtake agreement as part of its recently announced measures, said the deal with the federal government includes the option to stockpile graphite, which is widely used in electric car batteries, solar and wind technologies, and the defence sector. An offtake agreement involves Ottawa buying a set amount of a mine’s production.

“Our agreement provides the capacity to stockpile or to market into domestic markets, depending on the Government’s priorities and directives,” Julie Paquet, the company’s spokesperson, told The Epoch Times.

Greg Frame, senior communications adviser to Hodgson, confirmed to The Globe and Mail that Ottawa plans to stockpile graphite, and that scandium is another critical mineral the government intends to include in its strategy.

He said the scandium will come from part of the output of Rio Tinto, a British-Australian mining and metals company with which Ottawa also recently signed an offtake agreement. Canada’s labour market recorded an unanticipated increase in jobs in October, marking slight gains for the second month in a row, according to federal data.

The country’s economy saw an increase of 67,000 jobs in October, causing the unemployment rate to fall by two tenths of a percentage point to 6.9 percent, Statistics Canada said in a Nov. 7 report.

October’s employment numbers were primarily attributed to 85,000 new part-time positions, up 2.3 percent since September. Full-time employment decreased by 18,500 positions last month, following 0.6 percent growth in September, StatCan said.

Jobs in the private sector rose 0.5 percent during the same period to mark its first positive shift since June.

BMO chief economist Douglas Porter said the job growth in September and October served to fully reverse the “nasty two-month decline” seen in July and August.

Liberals declared that the vote would be considered a matter of confidence, which meant that if it was adopted, the government would fall, and Canadians will be headed to an early election.

Sources told Fox News Digital Brennan; Strzok, the FBI’s former deputy assistant director of counterintelligence; and Page, a former FBI lawyer, were served with federal subpoenas on Friday.

Law enforcement sources told Fox News Digital that up to 30 subpoenas will be issued in the coming days relating to the investigation.

The grand jury is out of the Southern District of Florida. U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Florida Jason Reding Quiñones is supervising the probe.

Fox News Digital first reported in July that Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey were under investigation.

Brennan was also separately referred for prosecution by House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan.

Wang immigrated to the United States in 1998 to work for Corning Incorporated. From 2002 to 2007, he participated in a joint Corning–DARPA project developing optical fibers for high-powered laser weapons capable of destroying drones and missiles. On July 1, 2016, just ten days after applying for China’s Thousand Talents Plan, he stole hundreds of confidential files containing technical data that could allow replication of advanced fiber lasers.

Two months later, he was accepted into the program. Between 2014 and 2017, Wang also negotiated with Chinese government entities to start a specialty fiber business in China, seeking tens of millions in investment and emphasizing the technology’s military potential, claiming it could determine “victory or defeat” in war.

Between 2021 and 2024, the U.S. government reported more than sixty Chinese Communist Party–linked espionage incidents on American soil, with roughly 80 percent of economic espionage prosecutions and 60 percent of trade secret theft cases tied to China. The latter proposal seeks to use €140 billion worth of immobilised sovereign Russian assets held by Euroclear, a Brussels-based clearing house, to support Ukraine’s war effort and reconstruction.

The reparation loan is the Commission’s preferred option for supporting Ukraine despite Belgium’s refusal to back the scheme at a summit of EU leaders in Brussels in October, the sources said.

Many member countries – including Germany and the Baltic nations – share this sentiment.

Georgieva-Kinova, or simply Georgieva as she is known professionally, is a Bulgarian economist who has been the managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for the last six years.

But unlike most 72-year-old eastern European technocrats, Georgieva seems in recent months to have had a profound influence on Canadian fiscal policy.

At almost every public stop in recent weeks, including Thursday’s post-budget event at an innovation hub in Toronto, Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne has referred to Georgieva’s apparent endorsement of the Canadian government’s policy directions, particularly its willingness to spend more.

During his opening remarks at the Toronto event, Champagne said he visited the IMF recently where Georgieva pointed to only two countries — Germany and Canada — that have the fiscal room to spend more on items such as infrastructure and housing.

Georgieva, a graduate of the Karl Marx Institute of Economics, is even quoted generously in the two-page foreword of the federal budget itself, saying that Canada “stands out” in the G7 for its decisiveness, including the way it has “modernized the budget framework — separating operating spending from investing, and focusing strategically on pro-growth investments that can lift up productivity.” Continue…

Police said the men range in age from 18 to 70 years old, but did not release their names.

The Sûreté du Québec said more than 150 police officers were involved in an investigation from Nov. 3 to 7, including members of the Internet Child Exploitation Investigation Team, the Major Crimes Investigation Division of Boucherville, the Montreal Police Service, the Quebec City Police Service, the Laval Police Service, the Loungueuil Agglomeration Police Service, and the Gatineau Police Service.

The police said that of those charged, 20 have appeared in court to face charges of possession, distribution, and access to files that contained child sexual abuse and exploitation material.

Police also said they seized computer equipment for analysis during 26 searches.
